Fashioning a No

Jesus lived as a YES.  His resistance in the wilderness to the temptations of Satan was more a statement of His YES to God than His NO to Satan.  Christ's refusal of Satan's temptation was only a byproduct of His affirming YES to God. Jesus ever returned to His YES to God.  Satan's every questioning assault was countered with an affirming statement of YES to God -  not an "I will not" but an "I will what God wills, as it is written."  A choice has to always be first a YES, and then your NO will fall in line as a result.  God has created ... read remainder of `eLumination

God has created us in and for YES.  So a yes to Self leads to death in sin, but a YES leads to Him, to His righteousness and His Kingdom.

All my life I have been trying to fashion myself through a position of NO rather than through a choice of YES.  I cannot do it.  It is not the way I was created.  Every fiber of my being is YES because I am formed from and by the YES of God. He breathed life into me and that was a YES and not a NO. I am YES and I can’t be anything other than that.

Religion bolsters our NO, yet there is no life there. We can’t live by NO. How can we continue to live imprisoned within the confines of our NO? Though we can choose to resist Him, we can’t change our makeup.  He will always be who He is, the YES.  The Great I AM.  His name (I AM) in Exodus 3:14 literally is "TO BE," an affirming positive from heaven. And we, as His creations, bear His mark - YES.

I am a YES. You are a YES.  We have been constructed by Him, the Great YES. Our fibers are made of YES and we are held together by YES.  His very breath giving us life is a Divine YES.  His every thought of us is YES. So in response, I say YES!
