One Talent Answer

  In all our dealings with God we must first surrender to Him as God, then as good.  Life, in this fallen world, is too unpredictable to fail to trust in the Creator who is good in all His dealings.  If we see Him as a cruel taskmaster, we will create failure.  We will come to Him as His judge and critic weighing His motives and intention.  This position leads to death. Look to the one-talent servant.  He reproached the master with judgments against his character. According to his estimation, “the master was cruel.”  “Be gone,” was the answer!  “Leave to the place of outer darkness where you have chosen to live.”  The servant was then subjected to his judgments of the master.  The master would be exactly who the servant accused him of being.  The cruelty feared was now played out upon this man.
