Mercy Says, Enough!

Author: John Enslow  3 May 2009

God’s kindness and mercy will combat our unworthy thoughts of Him.  His love and patience will out-shine our foolish hearts.  He will bombard our ill thoughts and distrust.  He will prove Himself over and over, “I am God, I am GOOD and I love you!”   But there comes a point when our resistance to being entreated will be met with judgment.  In the face of His goodness, our belief in His evil will be challenged with His wrath.  He will confront us.  He will stand against our pride.  He will go toe to toe until we either bow o ... read remainder of `eLumination

He will go toe to toe until we either bow or break.  And all this will either confirm our accusations or humble us to yield.

God’s every move is good.  Even his judgment is good.  He cannot be other than His very nature, GOOD.  But in His goodness is the willingness to allow us to choose.  He extends His arm.  He displays His heart.  In all mercy, He challenges our contrary views.  It is very merciful of God to woo His accuser.  This is because He is a Father.  The Father and Creator of us all.  He is touched by our infirmities and sympathetic to our plight.  He is always extending His heart to love us.  Passion emanates from His throne to show us His nature, his make-up and His character.  But when we refuse to leave our unworthy thoughts of Him, when we prefer our bitterness to His mercy, when we stand too long in accusation of His person, He will say, “Enough!”

John, I thank the Lord for the insight He has given you of Himself. This is very timely for the body of Christ.
