God made a garden,
placed a man and a woman in it so
He could walk in the morning
WITH THEM.

He could have a place to
come down and be with them.
And God was lovely.

But the man and woman did not
want to be WITH HIM.

So God made a nation,
and gave them
a tent and a golden box
so He could have a place to
come down and be WITH THEM.
And God was powerful.

But most of the millions in the nation
did not want to be
WITH HIM.

So God found a man who
desperately wanted to be
WITH HIM.

David secured
the tent and the golden box
and opened it wide so
all could see the Lord
in His place.
David's dear God
came down to be with him.
And God was happy.

And David's passion was
for a lofty place so God
could come down and be WITH THEM.
And God was designing.

Solomon built a temple-grand
and God
came down to be with them.
And God was glorious.

But the nation preferred dead idols
and so the temple-grand
collapsed and the people lost Him.
And God
came down to chasten them.
And God was furious.

Always there were one or two who
sought a place and made a place
(even in captivity) for the Lord God to
come down and be with them.
And God was listening.

So Daniel read and prayed that God would
make another place on earth so He could
come down and be with them.
And God was moving.

But the people still did not want to
be with God. They would rather sin.
And so Second Place for God to dwell
collapsed and the nation was dismantled
and strewn across the earth.

And God had
no place and no people so He could
come down and be with them.
And God was undaunted.

The Lord God created a place and
formed a people so He
could be fully God . . . to them.
His unending desire, His flawless plan
was always just to
come down and be with us.
And God is unstoppable.

It does not matter if we reject Him.
It is of no consequence if we hate Him.
That we want everything other than Him
does not deter Him.
The place and the people of this earth
belong to Him and no matter the cost
to Him, He will
come down and be with us.
And God was sacrificial . . . .

So God told Isaiah to tell the people
of His plan to be 'with us.'

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:
Behold a virgin will be with child and
bear a son, and she will call His name
Immanuel.

ISA. 7:14
