Heaven’s Rule: The Light of the World Has Come!
Heaven’s Rule: The Light of the World Has Come!
Author: Martha Kilpatrick

The giant universe reveals God and points to His Son . . . for Whose delight it was fashioned and in Whose holy hand it is held. The heavens preside. Heaven rules the day, the night, the hour, the year . . . the crops, the tides. And we live ever under the lines drawn by the heavens above us. For us. If not to God, at least to the "lights," we submit. In the Heavens, the Father utterly rules, issuing life-in-light, down to us.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood,
a holy nation, a people for God's own possession,
that you may proclaim the excellencies of
Him who has called you
out of darkness into His marvelous light.

I Peter 2:9

The light of Jesus is His own Light,
described as marvelous, a thing of wonder and awe.
This Light is a gift of all significance-
full of the riches of position and promise;
offering relationship in God of the deepest bond.
And the Light is something to which we are called.

"Calling" always implies there must be an answer.
God offers. God calls. What is your answer?

You are called . . . out of darkness. Out!
To come into the marvels of His light,
you have to leave the darkness . . . .
Have you left it? Have you "come out?"

Every person knows what is darkness.
We know.
We need no explanation of darkness,
it is our lifelong companion.
We know well the darkness, more
familiar with it than light, are we.
Anything that is not transparent and
issuing from God is darkness.

There can be no pocket of darkness,
no pet in the shadows.
No hate, no lust, no secret bitter soul.
We have to leave whatever is darkness.

Darkness and light are perpetual enemies
ever locked in mortal wrestling.
Each of us takes a side in the match.
We side with darkness if we harbor it.
We side with light when we want it.
And we are pinned to the floor by the side we choose.

If you want Light, and choose Light,
then Light will capture you
enthrall you with Himself,
and then liberate you in order to FILL you

Hold on to darkness and light will leave you.
Harbor some little darkness and
it will take you over.
Darkness will be all you will have.

I have come as light into the world,
that everyone who believes in Me
           may not remain in darkness.

John 12:46
