Heaven’s Rule: The Light of the World Has Come!
Heaven’s Rule: The Light of the World Has Come!
Author: Martha Kilpatrick

The giant universe reveals God and points to His Son . . . for Whose delight it was fashioned and in Whose holy hand it is held. The heavens preside. Heaven rules the day, the night, the hour, the year . . . the crops, the tides. And we live ever under the lines drawn by the heavens above us. For us. If not to God, at least to the "lights," we submit. In the Heavens, the Father utterly rules, issuing life-in-light, down to us.

But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! Matthew 6:23 NAS  We will be full. We will. Light or darkness will take over our very being, our whole being. Every one of us.  We know what Light is. It is Christ, He who is Truth. What then is darkness, that it is equally as permeating to the whole body? The answer follows: No one can serve two masters;        for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.         You cannot serve God and wealth. But if your eye is bad, your whole body
will be full of darkness.
If then the light that is in you is darkness,
how great is the darkness!

Matthew 6:23 NAS

We will be full. We will.
Light or darkness will take over our
very being, our whole being.
Every one of us.

We know what Light is. It is Christ,
He who is Truth.
What then is darkness, that it is equally
as permeating to the whole body?

The answer follows:

No one can serve two masters;
for either he will hate the one and love the other,
or he will be devoted to one and
despise the other.
You cannot serve God and wealth.

Matthew 6:24 NAS

Light and Darkness are renamed as two masters.
Jesus exposes that these are the choices
ever before us.
Only two masters - God and wealth.
One of these we will choose and serve.
It is not possible to possess both or be
captured by both at once.

One will rise over the other and
fill you with itself.

One will win.
You choose which.

Money stands for many things
other than money itself:
power, possessions, position.
Money and its aspects are the security
that fires God from His Father-job.
Wealth is power, power to not be reduced
to need but to simply take what you want.

The verses that follow show
that 'wealth' is no vast fortune,
but simply the ordinary need of
human basics:
food, drink, clothing.

And serving the Master "Wealth"
is exposed by worry over the basics.
Length of life . . . size of body . . .
"Who of you by worrying and being anxious can
add one unit of measure (cubit ) to his stature
or the the span of his life?"
Matt. 6:27 Amp. Bible

Practical needs of life . . .
Do not worry then, saying, 'What shall we eat?
or what will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?'

The size of the wealth is not the issue.
Worry exposes the master as money.
Focus on self and selfish aims is evidence
of the master being money.

What frightens you is what holds you and
what you focus on becomes your inner condition.

When the eye is on self-serving and
self-worship it is actual worship of Satan,
in his secret ruling behind the world
of personally owned wealth.
And the body becomes filled with darkness
in all the hell that that means from
mental delusion to plagues of sickness.

The startling statement of Jesus Himself:

your whole body will be full of darkness

And the Spirit emphasizes:

If then the light that is in you is darkness,
           how great is the darkness!

Matthew 6:23b NAS

You cannot SERVE God and wealth.
The word used is 'serve!'

You will SERVE one or the other.
You and I will master or own
neither God nor money but we
will be mastered by one or the other.

Serve: Greek "douleuo," to be a slave to
(from 'doulos' meaning a slave, subjection or subserviency)
