Peace I leave with you;
My peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled
                and do not be afraid.

John 14:27

"Relinquishment of burdens and fears
begins where adoration and worship of
God become the occupation of the soul."

Frances J. Roberts

God gives absolute power to not be subject to fear.

Fear produces two things:
1. slander against the character of God.
2. an allegiance with Satan.

Fear makes you a liability to your self, to those under you and to the Kingdom. Fear causes you to go into many soulish modes: self protection, manipulation, compromise.

You lose your head - your ability to think - you lose His peace, His presence and power. You lose everything. You lose it all.
You leave Him when you are in fear or worry or doubt. You leave Him.

SLANDER

Fear is an assault on the character of God which ascribes to Him, the nature of the enemy. As was the one talent servant, so are all fearful people. He accused God of being a "hard man, reaping where you have not sown and gathering where you have scattered no seed." (Matthew 25:24)

Fear is wicked and lazy. Evil and slothful. "You want to take from me what you never gave me."

Fear tempts us to become the accuser of God. This ungrateful servant accused God of being a liar, a destroyer, a thief. These attributes are found in Satan's character not within God's. In effect He was saying what Satan is, you (God) are.

God is kind and loving, endless in giving. His patience is amazingly long suffering and His attendance to our development is as the brooding of a mother hen. But fear charges God of worse than "Not being good." It says God is as Satan.

FEAR IS HATRED OF GOD

Fear is not unbelief. It IS a belief: the belief that God is not who He says He is, and that evil and Satan have more power to affect us, trusting in Satan's power over an insipid god. Believing that our God is not powerful.

We all have faith and belief; the question is where does it lie. Either it is belief that God is God or that God is not God.
To have faith in our fear is to believe that God is not God. Essentially unbelief in Him and belief in Satan and to take this stand is to hate God. That is the core of fear: a basic hatred of God.

DARKNESS

Why would you live with an all consuming presence of fear?

Because fear can be so thick it feels like safety. So familiar that it gives solace. So evident it feels like a presence to sooth aloneness. But it is a black garment of death; fit for those who want to be comforted and indulged without the patience to await God. It feels like companionship against a God who is inept and won't bring His presence. It is worship of this dark presence.

How? It is the excuse to avoid responsibility.

THE ANSWER; GOD'S PEACE

We can't handle life on our own, neither mastering it like a cowboy or escaping it in cowardice. We must be led. God's peace is a guiding force for our soul. Peace is the conquest of Satan and self. Victory over self is victory over the enemy.

Once we leave the place of peace we are Satan's. If we don't live in tranquility, we are on a puppet string of the enemy. The absence of terror is Satan's end because fear is the door he enters.

To receive peace all you have to do is sit and listen. The Lord is there to tell you, calm you and guide you. It is not in struggling and straining to hear Him for this causes the very opposite effect which is to restrain Him. When I grip God I am trying to control Him. I can't struggle my way to the Lord.

Anxiety, worry and doubt cause us to leave the leading of the Spirit. We must be guided by peace and stay in peace. We have to live in peace as a lifestyle.

Peace is a gift, Christ.

"These things I have spoken to you, that
in Me you may have peace.
In the world you have tribulation.
But take courage, I have overcome the world."

John 16:33 NAS
