Mustard Seed Faith

Mustard Seed Faith

The mustard seed, picture of a living Word

and bearing with it the
literal faith of God Himself,
bypassing human inability
to believe.
Faith is a Seed planted, a particle of Heaven-Life
ready to root and produce in the
dark soil of a gutted heart (Luke 8).
Faith is not the exalting of a humanly-chosen fact,
thrown at God to twist His arm of action.
This Seed is from a different Realm,
far superior because it is LIFE -
not mere thought.
The Seed of God's voice is cast upon us
every day, by the abundance of His generosity.
God joys to speak to His creation, and by
His voice to impart the Living Potential
of a speck that carries inside of it
a dynamic, an explosion of fruit.
All it takes to have faith is
an Open Ear by a Bowed Heart,
plowed and harrowed
and not distracted by
lust for information.
Mary Heard
Faith is imparted by God's Voice to
the lone believer.
To hear is to obtain God.
"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the
Word (voice) of God."
That Word of God's personal voice is unique
because it is embryonic, not informative.
It is a seed of God-reproduction,
capable of its own fulfillment.
Mary listened to the angel
and wisely sought to understand
those Divine Words.
For with God nothing is ever impossible and
no word from God shall be without power or
impossible of fulfillment.
Luke 2:37 Amplified Bible
Divine explanation gave her
supernatural understanding.
Her dependence was not on human deduction.
By knowing God's meaning, His way,
she gave her self, her destiny and future
to be taken over by the Seed of God
in His personal Word to her.
Then Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord;
let it be done to me according to what you have said."
Profound receiving of the Word . . .
giving herself to
be pregnant with God's Son.
As sperm carries in it the life of the father,
Seed-Word carries within,
the Infinitesimal Life of Eternal Father.
When He speaks, His life is in His words.
Reproductive Life. God-Life.
And the seed contains along with the Life,
the faith of Very God
for its birthing.
Moving Mountains and Trees
Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, "If you had faith like a mustard seed,
you would say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and be planted in the sea;'
and it would obey you.
Matt. 17:20 And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith;
for truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain,
'Move from here to there,' and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you."
Amp: If you have faith (that is living) like a mustard seed.
(Emphasis mine)
Jesus likened faith to a mustard seed.
Faith must be Seed not opinion.
Faith is being impregnated with the Seed
of God's Creative Voice.
"Let there be . . . and there was."
Faith is meant to move mountains
and uproot trees.
"Mountain" here symbolizes the
man-of-dust puffing himself large
by piles of dirty self.
The mountain is pride, obscuring God
and taking His place by presumption.
Mulberry trees are a symbol of war
with God's enemy (I Chronicles 14:15).
Trees with roots entangling earth's humanity,
obstacles of evil, standing
in the way of God's expansion.
Faith is for the purpose of moving
mountains of human pride and
uprooting trees of evil interference.
Faith like a mustard seed,
living and powerful by God.
Seed of His Creative Voice.
Abiding Word
If you abide in Me and my words abide
in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you.
John 15:7
Prayer is answered, desire is fulfilled
when the Word of God's Voice -
private and secret to the quiet listener -
is nurtured and harbored as
a precious wonder.
Given this believing remembrance,
the Treasured Seed can
sprout into appearance.
Nothing can stop it.
Nesting Trees
Faith is a Divine Impartation
for the increase of God
not self-promotion.
Jesus in the wilderness was tempted
to use God's Word and Power for
the advancement of His human self.
"Show your magic" - turn stones into bread.
"Control humanity"- rule kingdoms.
"Force God to move" - jump from the parapet.
Control - matter, man and Maker,
all for your own prominence.
This is not Faith
but perversion.
God allows both to exist in His kingdom.
The Word God speaks, constitutes
a choice . . . and a test.
On three other occasions, Jesus mentioned
the mustard seed of faith,
an entirely different application.
Matthews 13:31The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed,
which a man took and sowed in his field and this is smaller than all
other seeds; but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants,
and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.
Mark 4:31How shall we picture of the kingdom of God,
or by what parable shall we present it? It is like a mustard seed,
which when sown upon the soil, though it is smaller than all the seeds
that are upon the soil, yet when it is sown, grows up and becomes larger
than all the garden plants and forms large branches;
so that the birds of the air can nest under its shade.
Luke 13:19 What is the kingdom of God like and to what shall I compare it?
It is like a mustard seed which a man took and threw into his own garden
and it grew and became a tree; and the birds of the air nested in its branches.
(Emphasis mine)
The Divine Seed is not meant to be planted in
the earth for roots of worldly largeness.
It is for changing the
face and geography of humanity,
for the conquering of enemy invasion.
His Spoken Word is to be spoken, not buried.
Given away for Him, not hoarded for self.
"Say to this mountain . . ."
"Say to the mulberry tree . . ."
Do you see the difference between
planting in the earth
and moving earth?
His Word is for the increase of His kingdom,
not mine . . . .
These mustard seeds were all three planted in
the earth for personal advancement, using
God to build a human kingdom,
magnificent and rooted deep in
the dirt of vain ambition.
Big rooted trees are "love of the world"
more than heaven.
We are pilgrims, not residents.
We are wheat continually harvested,
not trees of permanence
in massive stature.
Common wheat, cut and served up to
the world's hunger for God.
Jesus told us about "birds of the air."
Birds of the air are "the evil one."
Matthew 13:19
The Voice of God's giving turned into
self-promotion, gives shelter
to the "evil one" who nests
wherever self is king.
That is his own nature of evil ambition.
The Word God speaks so freely to us,
can be taken into
two opposing spiritual realms.
One is moving earth and trees out of God's way.
The other is growing monuments to self,
mammoth trees to exclude Him
and give home to His hater.
In the large tree of dirty planting,
the evil one can hide in the darkness of
its shade and the branches of its religiosity.
God, by His gift of freedom,
allows you do with His Word
whatever you choose.
The Word is to be planted only in the
spiritual heart of clean honesty
and then tossed into the air by proclamation.
The Word is not meant to gain an impressive
throne for self
by burying it in earthliness.
Largeness is not itself wrong.
For whom does the largeness exist?
For what purpose?
Control or Divine dominion?
Self or God?
God allows His Precious Seed to be given to all.
What we do with it is the crisis.
Tree and wood stand for common humanity.
On a Tree He was nailed, hung to die,
impaled on our fallenness.
When we are cut from roots of worldliness
and are dead by separation,
then we can be formed into an ark
of His Tabernacle Presence.
A Carpenter He was, making use of dead lumber,
honing and planing humanity into cradles for the Divine.
But please, no tree set deep in darkness,
hiddenly anchored to what is cursed.
