Genesis: In The Beginning, God
Genesis: In The Beginning, God
Author: Martha Kilpatrick

God is the beginning of all. What He does not begin, ends at its beginnings. From the fountain of His boundless imagination flow the inventings of our finest ideas. We are merely cups of varying levels of receptivity. Some narrow, some wide. What we begin, drawing out of the cauldron of human depravity and calling it God's plan, will find no support from Him . . . and no Brilliance of His Glorious Mind. He must begin whatever is begun. He initiates. We respond. He proclaims. We hear. He gives. We receive. He imagines . . . we are simply the clay of His inventive molding.

By careful placement of richest provision,
God prepared the earth for His masterpiece:
man and woman.

They were created last, the sixth day.
By that time
the entire universe had been set in place . . . .

The moon governed the night and the oceans,
the sun ruled the day and sustained all life.

The atmosphere had been constructed in its
perfect balance of carbon and oxygen,
- now we know -
the only planet in all the universe so established.

Endless resources of water and food
had been launched into multiplication.
for the needs of . . .
the revered first man and the precious woman.

Exquisite beauty in colors and forms:
multitudes of spectacular plants,
landscapes of stunning variety
and myriad sights of wonder
from blazing sunsets to the tiniest leaf.

Majestic vistas were drawn and
constructed for the soul's craving of art.

All was flawless and utterly splendid,
living . . . moving . . . growing
in miraculous order!

God's creative splendor was lavished on the earth
long before the sixth day of man's appearing.

As a Perfect Father, God bestowed Five Epochs of
time on the completion of the home
He made for His companions . . . Adam, Eve.

The Garden of their dwelling was planned before they walked it.
The water of their nourishing flowed before they thirsted.
The fruit for their feasting was ripe when they hungered.

Such is our God and Creator.
His love is revealed in every glory of the earth.

His tender mercies are over all His works.
Ps. 145:9 KJV

Anticipating every necessity - and not ending there,
but creating every joy and beauty,
God filled the earth with an abundance of everything
and in His Unspeakable Brilliance made
every living thing able to reproduce itself
for the unending supply of all needs,
even to the immeasurable future.

Amazingly, God had you in mind
in those eons long ago.
And your provision lies waiting in richness
for your discovery of His bounty,
perfect and complete . . .
gained by your obedience and faith.

God has exposed His nature and revealed His heart
by the marvel of creation. We can know Him there . . . .

For since the creation of the world
His invisible attributes,
His eternal power and divine nature,
have been clearly seen, being understood
through what has been made,
so that they are without excuse.

Romans 1:20

Yet before even the
earth's riches were formed and made,
this Tender Father anticipated His children's coming
desperate need for a Savior and so
even before Day One, preceding all . . .

. . . the Lamb was slain before
the foundation of the world.

Rev. 13:8
