Towering Canopies of Life and Death Two trees still stand in the secret midst of the universe and in the timeless center of every human heart. Two towering canopies cast their shadow over every event and all relationships, calling for choice, ever calling for choice. One is death, the other Life. They demand unavoidable decisions by being diametrical opposites, incompatible and irreconcilable. We can never have both mental independence and absolute grace. |
1. Towering Trees
Where self is the origin, Satan is the inspiration.
2. Sources
Every moment presents a choice between voices from two contrary Ideals.
Truth must issue only from Life or it isn't truth.
3. Illegal Choices
The choice of Knowledge above God is the rejection of integrity
and the preference for lies.
4. Tree of Delusion
Under the ready shade of the Liar, delusion is the fruit that fools only you.
Religion is rigid idealism, ever holding to the fantasy of
"what should be" - despising "what is."
5. Living Giving Fruit
To hear His voice is to become His vessel, to contain His nature and bear
His presence. God is with you when you will hear.
