This generation's endless scrambling
For a true love is their pursuit.
To silence the greatest hearts longing
Just anything to make it mute.
"Is there no one who is willing?"
To stand in their midst
In the middle of the whoredom
To shout from the precipice?
"The hunt may be relinquished
In evil sin's delight.
Not in shadows will you find it
He is the Way, the Truth, the Light."
God says, "Who will come
To deliver my holy plea
Speak into a generation?"
Oh Lord, I say, "will it be me?"
Resounding, the walls reverberate
