Back to the Cross
Brief Description
As the Church approaches the end of the times it is more imperative that she is standing on a true foundation so that darkness and evil not overtake her and lead her into apostasy. Watchman Nee believed that the cross of Christ is the sole light to enlighten the coming darkness and that the Church must return to the cross which is the firm foundation of God.

Back to the Cross
Close Table of Contents
We today are at the terminal period of the dispensation of grace. The hand of the clock is pointing at the midnight hour. Now is the darkest of the night. Soon, following the gloomiest hour, the day shall dawn. Meanwhile, the Church rushes swiftly toward apostasy, moving farther away from God: the power of darkness is unleashed; its evil influence is as damaging in the Church as in the world. The cross of Christ is the sole light that enlightens the current darkness. It is therefore time for the Church to go back to the cross, to the firm foundation of God. There, sins are cleansed and self is delivered. There, the redemptive facts of God are revealed for us to believe and enter in. There, the power of resurrection is experientially known so that the Church may once again be the true witness of Christ on earth. It is time for God's children to seek for high life and service, time to review the past and rededicate themselves for the days ahead.
At the closing of this age, the activities of Satan are intensified. How greatly are the children of God being attacked, oppressed and especially deceived. Now is the time for the saints to rise up and exercise the victory of the cross to resist and counterattack the Enemy. How fierce is the battle. Can the saints overcome without being fully armed? Saints of God, arise, stand on the victory of Calvary, and proclaim the victory of Christ. Your King is coming, and the days of the Enemy are numbered.
This present volume is a compilation of various writings and addresses given by Watchman Nee in the early days of his ministry. The passage of time, however, only increases the urgency of these messages which are as relevant today, perhaps even more so, than at the time of their first delivery. Would that God's children might return to the cross and be true followers of Christ crucified. May the Church of God be re-awakened to her calling as the light in the world, holding forth the word of life. May she stand in the victory of Christ and bring back the King of kings and the Lord of lords. - Write A Review

Balanced Christian Life, A
Brief Description
It was Watchman Nee's desire to teach believers "the perfect equilibrium of divine truth." Because human nature is prone to emphasize one truth over another, there has been much confusion among God's people. This book presents a balance between many truths pertinent to the Christian life necessary for all believers to walk in through their daily lives.

A Balanced Christian Life
Close Table of Contents
"Ephriam is a cake not turned"(Hosea 7:8). This is a figurative way of saying 'not balanced'. The cake is burned on the one side, uncooked on the other, on one side it is overdone, on the other, totally undone. The cake is unfit to be eaten and is thus destined to be cast out.
Our God is most balanced. He is love and He is light. Our Lord Jesus is full of grace and full of truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of wisdom as well as of revelation. In creation, God "hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with a span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and the hills in a balance" (Is 40:12). Concerning redemption, it is said that "mercy and truth are met together, righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth springeth out of the earth; and righteousness hath looked down from heaven"(Ps 85:10,11). The new creation, therefore must be well balanced.
In this present volume, Watchman Nee attempts to show from God's word the perfect equilibrium of divine truth. Human nature, however is prone to emphasize one side to the exclusion of the other side of truth. This has caused much confusion and many problems among God's people. It is essential that we know the balance of truth and hold on to both sides so that our Christian life may be well rounded as God has ordained.
The contents of the book opens with a treatment of the balance between the gate and the way; continues with a presentation of the balance between the objective and the subjective; includes a discussion on the work inward and the work outward in the Christian life, as well as on the rest given and the rest found as promised by Christ; contemplates the other side of prayer frequently neglected, namely, to watch; and concentrates on the other less emphasized aspect of the trespass-offering, that of restoration. The book then provides a commentary on the contrast between the truly meek and the spiritually poor, and finally concludes with a consideration of the equilibrium that is so necessary between the believer's faith and the believer's walk.
May all who read this volume be brought into a balanced Christian life. - Write A Review

The New Covenant is full of God's grace. In order to enjoy such grace each one who belongs to the Lord must know what this New Covenant is. How sad that many of the Lord's people today neither appreciate nor understand this New Covenant. For this reason we have a burden to release some messages on the New Covenant. Even so, the New Covenant is such a comprehensive subject that we cannot exhaust its richness with our limited learning, experience and words. Still, we look to God's grace and are willing to share with His children the little we have received. Our earnest prayer is that God would enable us to know something of the New Covenant and lead us into its spiritual reality. - Write A Review

Body of Christ: A Reality
Brief Description
In this collection of messages Watchman Nee attempts to show us the reality of the body of Christ by proving that the body of Christ is founded on life and life consciousness. Through this we see that the body of Christ is a life which we live in as a daily experience rather than a vague or abstract term.

The Body of Christ: A Reality

"And gave him [Christ] to be head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all" (Eph 1:22,23). As Christ the head is a reality, so the church as the body of Christ is a reality. To many, however, the body of Christ is a vague, nebulous and abstract term. It is merely a beautiful concept or a noble theory. It is not a living reality as is presented in the Scriptures. The time has come, and now is, that all who seek the Lord should enter into a new understanding of the body of Christ. We need to see that the body of Christ is a life which we live in. It ought to become our daily experience.
In this little volume of collected messages selected for the unity of their subject matter and given by the author through years of faithful ministry, Watchman Nee attempts to show us the reality of the body of Christ. He proves to us that the body of Christ is founded on life and life consciousness. It is built on a living relationship among its members as well as with its head. This body is governed by its own laws, and blessed are those who discover these laws and follow them. To them the body of Christ is indeed a living reality.
May God grant to all who read this book wisdom and strength for living in the reality of the body of Christ. - Write A Review
