    By: Martha Kilpatrick/John Enslow

    $15.00

    Brief Description

If you missed out on our first year (2007) of podcasts, this collection is your chance to catch up!

The first year of Shulamite Podcasts was full of adventure!  Martha and John found themselves on the road quite a bit as they visited New York, Israel, Washington state, Mexico and Honduras, and each journey was chronicled with interviews, insights and teachings.

Though many a subject is covered in these 53 episodes, three spiritual issues were explored in great depth: fear, the sovereignty of God vs. human control, and the importance of living from your heart.  Experience anew the stories and spiritual revelation shared by ordinary sheep with an extraordinary Shepherd!

These CDs play on your computer or on any CD player which plays mp3 formatted discs.

Episode #2 Living from Your Heart
Living from your Heart.  Many fail to embrace the heart in all its complexities and so perish.  The heart is how we touch our world, our God and those around us.  To not live in it is like cutting off our hands and trying to pick up a gift.  Without full possession of our heart, we will not be able to experience the one great gift God gave us - Himself.

Episode #3 Taking Back the Heart
Taking back the Heart.  Here Martha Kilpatrick interviews Joan Trimble, a member of the Shulamite fellowship.  Joan reveals her lifelong struggle to have complete ownership of her heart and how she was captured as a small child to give her heart away.  In this telling testimony it is exposed that one must possess a wholehearted devotion or the heart is completely compromised.

      Episode #4 Heart Responsibility
Heart Responsibility. Martha discusses the heart as it relates to taking complete responsibility for our personal responses to people and circumstances.  To blame others is actually to blame God, which will lead us to deception, clouding our perception of God.

Episode #5 The Silk Screen, Part I
The Silk Screen, Part I.  Martha interviews John about man's heart and our preference to blame rather than live life to the fullest.

Episode #6 The Silk Screen, Part II
The Silk Screen, Part II.  Martha concludes her interview with John about man's heart and our preference to blame rather than live life to the fullest.

Episode #7 The Heart Revealed and Free
The heart revealed and free.  Continuing on the topic of the heart, discover God's mercy in revealing our heart condition, our failure to dialog with Him and the solution of freedom from the human dilemma.

Episode #8 Well, Does Everyone Love Raymond?
Well, Does Everyone Love Raymond?  We discuss the visual depictions in the media that make clearer the picture of the heart of a man.  To obey the command to leave and cleave makes for free men and gives wives and children the chance to have husbands and fathers.

Episode #9 Hearing God at the Café, Part 1
Hearing God at the Café, Part I.  We discuss inertia and how this choice can prevent us from truly living to the fullest, our destiny with God.

Episode #10 Hearing God at the Café, Part 2
Hearing God at the Café, Part II.  We discuss inertia and how this choice can prevent us from truly living to the fullest, our destiny with God.

      Episode #11 Leave Thy Parents
Leave Thy Parents. The greats in the Kingdom were those whose radical leaving produced a spectacular faith.  Kingdom power, authority and true union with God are dependent on the work of leaving and following without a rear view. In this final installment of messages on the heart, we play and discuss a clip from Martha Kilpatrick’s teaching series, "Leave Thy Parents."

Episode #12 There is Only GOD, Part I
There is only God, Part I.  Luke 17:10 says, "Doing all, I am still an unprofitable servant…." Martha reveals her own journey of living out this scripture. The result of our service is in the Lord’s hands and this gives us freedom from disappointment and false responsibility. God is sovereign and He alone accomplishes His own ends in His own way.

Episode #13 There is Only God, Part II
There is only God, Part II.

Episode #14 A Special from Israel
A Special Presentation from the Land of Israel.  This message was recorded in Be’er Sheva, a town in the Negev Desert, which has special meaning as a gateway to Biblical history.  Here we discuss the government of God and how faith and obedience are the gateway to Kingdom glory covering our lives.

Episode #15 Hello from Sinai (Video Podcast)
This Podcast was a video and is not included in this collection.

      Episode #16 The King’s Reign, Part I
Reflecting on our Israel 2007 tour.  (Part 1 of 2) Hear how the Lord's possession of His children establishes His Kingdom Rule and displays His glory on earth.  Now home, we can see the Lord's message on government was woven throughout our journey.  His reign is individual and personal.

      Episode #17 The King’s Reign, Part 2
Reflecting on our Israel 2007 tour.  (Part 2 of 2) Hear how the Lord's possession of His children establishes His Kingdom Rule and displays His glory on earth.  Now home, we can see the Lord's message on government was woven throughout our journey.  His reign is individual and personal.

In this film, the Lord revealed His view that even when we have obeyed, we are still just unprofitable servants.  In light of previous podcasts, the message continues to resonate: There is Only God.

      Episode #19 Ushpizin, Part II
Conclusion. Martha speaks to a gathering of precious believers in Vancouver, WA.  She begins reflecting on a movie called Ushpizin, a Hebrew film with a very relevant message. Fear Not. Includes a brief update on Honduras and the fund for the poor.  John and Martha discuss the devastation of fear in our lives as well as God’s intolerance of it.  We often have pity for this debilitating force but the Lord Jesus showed no such sympathy.  The presence of fear is an evil that exposes the heart of a much greater sin.

      Episode #21 No Fear
No Fear. The completion of ‘Fear Not’ conversation, John and Martha discuss the devastation of fear in our lives as well as God’s intolerance of it.  We often have pity for this debilitating force but the Lord Jesus showed no such sympathy.  The presence of fear is an evil that exposes the heart of a much greater sin.

Episode #22 Response to God is Love
Response to God is Love.  The one who fears is not perfected in love, for fear is evidence of the absence of love.  We talk about how not responding to the love of God, as He desires to express it, then stirs up a fear for which there is no remedy until you embrace His love.

Episode #23 Fear Will Not Love
Fear will not Love.  Continuing on the topic of love and fear, we hear that to fail to love your brother is proof of the presence of fear and lack of loving God.  "Fear is the absence of love, the failure to receive love, the failure to give love and is unbelief in the love and power of God."

Episode #31 The Simplicity of Fear
The Simplicity of Fear.  Martha and John begin to discuss solutions to fear.  Fear leads you to lies, not only listening to the lie and the liar but also lying.  Leave the complexity and confusion of fear and enter the simplicity of hearing and following the Spirit.

Episode #32 Safety Lies in His Will
Safety Lies in His Will.  Martha and John continue to discuss the solutions to fear.  Fear is belief in the lie, which gives it power to convince me it's real.  Leave the complexity and confusion of fear and enter the simplicity of hearing and following the Spirit.

Episode #33 The Lord of Life
The Lord of Life.  Martha and John delve deeper into the solutions to fear.  Jesus clearly states the truth that when He is our Lord, He gives us power and authority over all the powers of the enemy and nothing shall in any way harm us.

      Episode #34 Freedom in God

Episode #36 Hearing Only His Voice
Hearing Only His Voice.  Martha and John discuss the tendency of man to listen to a voice other than God.  This path leads us away from God and into death.  Human beings were created to hear a Voice, yet like our mother Eve and father Adam, we often listen to another, causing separation from our true Shepherd and from life.

Episode #37 Hearken to His Voice
Hearken to His Voice. Martha and John continue to discuss the tendency of man to listen to a voice other than God.  This path leads us away from God and into death.

Episode #38 Oil of the Wise Virgin
Oil of the Wise Virgin.  Jesus' parable of the ten virgins makes clear that failure to accumulate oil in the days preceding His return is a costly mistake.  Martha and John uncover a revelation on this, answering the question, "How do we acquire oil in preparation for our Beloved's return?"

      Episode #39 Oil of Preparation
Oil of Preparation. Continuing to discuss Jesus' parable of the ten virgins, it's the integrity of God that prepare us for those things to come. The wise act of accumulating our oil is found in maintaining a moment-by-moment relationship with the Spirit of the Living God and in that way we will be ready.

      Episode #40 Surrender, Yes, Praise!
Surrender, Yes, Praise! A travel delay seems to be a divine distraction unto Him.  Listen as Martha and John talk about the secret to Praising and Thanking God in everything in Times Square (New York).

Episode #44 Living in Chiapas, Part II
Living in Chiapas, Part II.  We conclude our visit with Julie Wilson in Chiapas, Mexico.  They are missionaries serving the poorest of the poor in southern Mexico at a medical clinic.

      Episode #45 A Sovereign God
A Sovereign God.  God's motive in His sovereignty is always His love.  Though we may accuse Him in our hearts of cruelty, God is still sovereign and good.  Martha and John discuss this much-resisted aspect of God but one that can never be denied.

      Episode #46 God is Sovereign
God is Sovereign.  We absolutely cannot grasp the Lord's sovereignty through mental effort, but we can bow when His sovereignty overcomes us in a wave of His Lordship.

      Episode #47 Power to Control
Power to Control.  Humanity wants the power of control: control over matter, self and others and ultimately over God Himself.  Martha and John discuss this temptation, particularly that the control is an illusion; in reality we find that humanity's control is actually evil.

      Episode #48 Taking God’s Place
Taking God's Place.  The very nature of humanity is the lust to control.   Martha and John continue to discuss this temptation, one that begins with simple hidden thoughts and then becomes something the enemy can use to hurt others.

      Episode #49 Elements of Control
Elements of Control.  There are many aspects of demanding control and playing God, including the expectations we place on ourselves, others and God.  This demand for performance stifles the life of everyone involved.  We discuss the stifling force that is unfortunately commonplace and, although hidden, always felt.

Episode #50 The Life of the Altar
The Life of the Altar.  Martha and John continue to discuss the demand for performance that we place on ourselves, others and God.  There is only one place to deal with this issue: the Altar.

Episode #53 A Kiss Upon His Feet
A Kiss Upon His Feet.  During their recent visit to Chiapas, Mexico, Martha and John talked about our human attempts to control life and how this force of will is put to rest only at the altar.  That discussion continues here.  From out of the altar, life comes - the resurrection Life and God's glory.

      Episode #54 The Trench Reality
The Trench Reality. Continuing the message recorded in Mexico City, we discuss relinquishing control and the evidence of glory revealed on the other side of the altar. Specifically, we have no control over anything, no power to do or be anything and especially no power to control the wildness of God.

    Brief Description

Like a spoken-word journal of Body life, the second year of Shulamite Podcasts begins with a celebration of the new ministry website and culminates with the fruit of Martha's first booklet, The Great Lie.  Along the way, Martha and John rejoiced over a baptism in Mexico, fellowshipped with believers in Lubbock, TX, and wept in Austria at the Mauthausen concentration camp.

The overarching spiritual issues experienced and deeply dealt with are threefold: the essence of choice, the work of surrender, and the revelatory content of The Great Lie - a defense of God as entirely good.  Listen once again to the weekly recounting of ordinary lives and relationships made extraordinary by the Life indwelling!

There is a power struggle at the core of our humanity. The conflict is whether we will live dependent on the Lord or pick up illegitimate controls. In scripture, as well as in some around us today, we see those who rest in the Lord in utter dependence, allowing Him to be God. These are the ones who manifest the only true Power with eternal effects for the kingdom.

Full Orbed Personality. The exercise of personal choice is to grow. To grow is to change and that is the adventure of life. To fail to make constant choices is to become an empty, faceless being whose decisions are made by others and the world... and in reality by the enemy.

The Liberty of Christ. Still considering our humanity Martha says this: "humility is natural humanity living in dependence on God for every moment and every need, down to the most minute." Trying to keep yourself and not living in Christ's liberty is to fall in the ditch. Just be a vessel and lean!

      Episode #84 Christ Inhabiting Humanity
      Sunday, July 27, 2008
Christ Inhabiting Humanity. God intends that His divine life dwell and be expressed in normal humanity. As Paul, we have the sufficiency of His grace in the midst of trembling weakness. God has so solved us that we are free of our self life, IF we believe we are.

      Episode #85 The Perfect Solution
      Sunday, August 3, 2008
The PERFECT SOLUTION. The dance of the Love Affair with God is to wrestle out the dilemma of our humanity against His divinity. God's plan for the solution to our humanity is the perfection of His indwelling.

      Episode #86 Mastery or Surrender
      Sunday, August 10, 2008
Mastery or Surrender. We think it is possible to 'follow' Christ without surrender to Him as Lord. We believers really want to master Him to serve our own ends. But the key to the Kingdom, the way IN to the Kingdom is the basic calling of complete surrender.

      Episode #87 Tempestuous Fire
      Sunday, August 17, 2008
Tempestuous Fire. Continuing our talk about surrender: in this podcast, Martha describes her own discovery of the purpose beyond and behind her life story. John sees that it applies to every person's story of suffering. The question in all human crisis is . . . ?

Episode #88 The Greatest Power in the Universe
      Sunday, August 24, 2008
The Greatest Power in the Universe. Behind the 'tempestuous fire' of God's purpose stands the quiet Love of Christ. His Love is the awesome force that brings us to surrender to His choices, past, present and future.

      Episode #89 Grace to Surrender
      Sunday, August 31, 2008
Grace to Surrender. James 4 reveals that the grace of God is given for surrender, but only to the humble. "Significance is the gift of God to the humble who surrender. We want to master the favor of God . . ." Pride will never surrender, nor can it send the devil away. All things come only after surrender.

Episode #90 The Vast Order of God
      Sunday, September 7, 2008
The Vast Order of God. John talks about the surrender that comes from meeting our powerlessness. That absence of human control is our door into God's unlimited power and His vast order of the kingdom, which Martha says, is another realm, one of real reality.

Episode #91 Rejoice in the Lord Always
      Sunday, September 14, 2008
Rejoice in the Lord Always! Prayer in anxiety is prayer in unbelief. If you focus on the problem, you cannot focus on Christ. The only reality is the Lord's presence and His return. Delight yourself in Him! That is Resurrection Life, His life within.

      Episode #92 All About Focus
      Sunday, September 21, 2008
All About Focus. Anxiety is focus on difficulty in belief that it IS a problem. The problem exists to take you to God, who alone can solve the problem. What you focus on is what you worship. Faith is knowing Who God is, that He IS God. Then you will go to prayer for Him to solve all your problems.

      Episode #93 Choice is Liberty
      Sunday, September 28, 2008
Choice is Liberty. The reason for Christ liberating us from an inner prison is for the freedom to choose. God can only liberate us to chose. There is a huge difference between want and choose. 'Want' is a word of effort but futility . To 'choose' is a word of responsibility. When we choose God, He performs our choice.

      Episode #94 Want or Choose
      Sunday, October 5, 2008
Want or Choose. It is only choice that frees God to move in our behalf. We are afraid to choose because we believe we have to perform. What God asks for is what God Himself will achieve. This is the true choice: 'I decide with God what He has chosen for me.'

      Episode #95 The First Booklet
      Sunday, October 12, 2008
The First Booklet:  John introduces the first edition of a new booklet series from Shulamite Ministries: The Great Lie. This "Knowing God Series" will be published as 6 booklets in all. John sees the book as a message of remedy for the disease we inherited from Adam and Eve, an infection that produces death and murder. He calls this booklet 'a defense of God,' a message released specifically for these days.

Episode #96 The First Booklet (part2)
      Sunday, October 19, 2008
The First Booklet, part # 2. Those who fought the 'Great Lie' have through the timeline of God, formed a refuge, a community of those who are immune from the disease of believing God is not good. John pronounces a great blessing on the booklets for those who struggle under this innate belief that God has failed to be good. And that is all of us

      Episode #97 The Great Journey
      Sunday, October 26, 2008
The Great Journey It is a long struggle to see God as He is: Entirely Good. John recounts his own journey in answer to Martha's question: how is it that people continue to stay in the 'disease' while God's goodness is present and evident.

Episode #98 The Way to God’s Goodness
      Sunday, November 2, 2008
The Way to God's Goodness. In close relationship with Him, God can dispel the Great Lie and solve it day by day. God promises to divorce us from our covenant with the death (disease) of the Great Lie about God's goodness.

      Episode #99 The Secret Communion
      Sunday, November 9, 2008
The Secret Communion. The one whose ideas you take into your soul is the one with whom you form a covenant. But we are bought with a price, out of the bondage of believing that God is not good.

      Episode #100 Anniversary Podcast!
      Sunday, November 16, 2008
100th Anniversary Podcast! Many believe that darkness is coming to our nation. The Lord has us looking at Daniel who lived in a transcendent government where the earthly realm seemed to have no power to touch him, only to honor and exalt him.

Episode #101 The Secret of Needing God
      Sunday, November 23, 2008
The Secret of Needing God. God's work and preparation are to bring us to our deep need of Him so that He can give all He wants to give. The challenge is to live in real need this day, inside the kingdom, out from the kingdom.  The Real Kingdom.

      Episode #102 Blessing or Curse
      Sunday, November 30, 2008
Blessing or Curse - The Fruit. In Deuteronomy, the Holy Spirit presents the basic choice that determines all of life. Jennifer Wentzel (Shulamite's office manager and dear sister) shares her own revelation of choosing between life and death. And then she saw the need to step out, believing God's amazing covenant of blessing for heeding His voice.

      Episode #103 Promise of Blessing
      Sunday, December 7, 2008
Promise of Blessing. Jennifer Wentzel shares from her dialogue with the Lord as she enters His promise of enormous blessing. It is not enough to accept His covenant but you must step out to live and believe as a blessed child of God.

      Episode #104 Living Blessed
      Sunday, December 14, 2008
Living Blessed The most amazing health results from standing before God in complete accountability. Cause and effect, sowing and reaping, is at work more than we know.

Episode #105 The Prison I Make
      Sunday, December 21, 2008
The Prison I Make The temptation from Eden is first that God is not good, then comes inevitably a deep rejection of God and of your own self. That rejection is a prison that renders you incapable of receiving your own blessings from God.

Episode #106 The Stronghold of Rejection
      Sunday, December 28, 2008
One great test of life is the blessings of others that can tempt you to bitterness with God. Bitterness unresolved becomes a stronghold: a sin so indulged as to give satan a place in your life. The Cross of Jesus has gained the complete victory over the stronghold of rejection.

    Shulamite Podcast (Year THREE Collection)

The complete third year of MP3 podcasts. 51 Episodes

    By: Martha Kilpatrick/John Enslow

    $15.00

    Brief Description

If you missed out on our third year (2009) of podcasts, this collection is your chance to catch up!

2009 was quite a year for Shulamite Ministries!  With two conferences (The Coming One & The Body of Christ), a road trip through the Carolinas, two baptisms and the launch of John's blog, eLumination, the third year of Shulamite Podcasts was full indeed, recounting many a personal testimony of the victory of the life of Christ.

Martha and John were joined by others in the Body as they delved deep into issues of inner healing and true Bridal preparation: overcoming the stronghold of rejection, gaining spiritual discernment in Christ, resolving bitterness with parents, and gleaning new insight into the Body of Christ through the parable of the Wedding Feast.  May the Holy Spirit bring fresh revelation and blessing to all who would hear Him!

Episode #107 - Accepted in the Beloved

We try to earn the acceptance we desperately need and God has secured our acceptance in Christ. The root of bitterness is the rejection of God. Pride is the audacity to judge God for His choices. The blood and the name of Jesus destroys the stronghold of rejection.

Episode #108 - Rejection and Fear

John introduces new features on the Shulamite website. The podcast site (http://shulamitepodcast.com) is now found and hosted at Shulamite.com with new features and archives.  Then Carole Nelson joins us with her testimony of God's solution to her lifetime of fear. As Carole sought the Lord In desperation, He began to reveal that she had built a stronghold of rejection of God. This powerful testimony continues next week . . .

Episode #109 - The Burden of Rejection Lifted

Carole Nelson's testimony continues. The Lord is breaking the lies of the stronghold of rejection and the roots of fear. Through the fellowship of the Body of Christ, the Holy Spirit is powerfully at work to break the bondage that keeps us from His love and mercy.

Episode #110 - The Body of Christ

The Lord Jesus as Head originates His church, forms it and purifies it. It is in Body Life, each one living in Him, that we are helped to reach our destiny. Carole delights in the fruit of her freedom -- faith and love.

Episode #111 - God Is Who God Is

John sees different aspects of the problem of rejection. "I have to hear God in order to have a relationship with Him."   If we don't allow God to be who He is and say what He wants to say we are actually rejecting Him. God says "I AM" and that means in Hebrew: I will BE who I will BE.

Episode #112 - God is Other and Beyond

Rejection is a time bomb waiting to go off on everyone around you. If you have a relationship with your IDEA of God, you are not with God at all. If you don't hear His voice you don't live. The Lord says, "Let Me speak for Myself." The core of God's relationship with us is speaking. "Let him who has an ear, hear."

Episode #113 - The Real Voice

John and Martha continue with the issue of hearing the real God and not the voice of bitterness - "If it's not from God it's not God and if it is not God, it IS rejection of God."  God's acceptance is complete in Christ but rejection is a prison of 'beliefs' and unbelief that renders you deaf.

Episode #114 - To Whom Have I Said Yes?

"TO WHOM HAVE I SAID YES?" Martha tells of God's calling to a vast and new YES to Him. "I don't belong to my self, not even to my suffering. The Lord was capturing me to something bigger than me, bigger than mankind. YES, to this: that He is God, God, God. Existence, it's about saying YES to His YES." Here am I, send me.

      Episode #115 - I Am God's Yes

I AM GOD'S YES   John sees the yes and wrote, "Every fiber of my being is YES because I was created by the YES of God. I am His Yes." Christ is God's ultimate YES to humanity. Yes you can have even my Son.   Our yes  to God's YES brings in God's glory. If we could really comprehend the great YES of God in Christ, it would be entire faith.

      Episode #116 - Fear Conquered

Jennifer Wentzel (who works with us) responds to Carole's testimony of victory over fear.  Fear, she realized, is an accusation of God. "To have that revealed to me was devastating.  It is to believe I have the right to my fear and to being comforted for it!"   Her freedom from fear came from repentance, asking forgiveness of God.  Then came enormous peace on the other side.

Episode #117 - The Way to Live

Jennifer Wentzel finishes her insight about fear: "Fear is a trap of your own making.  We excuse fear as just being human. Fear is violent and violating - against God first."   Then Martha encourages Jennifer that she is living in "The Way" by asking the Lord, waiting, listening, searching the scriptures. Then to write down what He has shared in the secret place and it becomes food for the Body of Christ.

Episode #118 - God as God

A dear friend of the ministry had a burden to share us.  She heard that the message delivered in Podcasts #111-113 was an important diagnosis to the problem with the church in the end times.  Martha and John discuss the issue, further expounding on its relevance to this day. We must go to the true God as He reveals Himself and not as we suspect Him to be in our unworthy thoughts and judgments of Him.

Episode #119 - Delusion and Reality

Truth without the Person of Christ will be error.  Delusion is the end result of dealing with scripture and life without a vital relationship with God.  This relationship is the only safety from being deceived.

Episode #120 - Light and Darkness

From I John 2:20 Amplified Bible, we read of the anointing of the Holy Spirit for all we need to know and discern. Many voices and lies will come to us in these days of much delusion. But we are assured that we have the anointing for every knowledge we need.  Christ is within, as the living Truth.

Episode #121 - Knowing The Times

It's very important to recognize the signs of the times in which we live.  This is an exciting day yet deception is rampant.  There is a false Christianity.  Our need is always to go to the Person of Christ not merely facts about God.  May He give us eyes and ears to see Him!

Episode #122 - It's Not What Goes In but Comes Out

It's Not What Goes In but Comes Out:  As we look at our responses to life we see our choices.  They are made evident everyday.  But it is not what happens to us that define us but how we respond to what has happened.  Martha and John discuss God's use of life’s circumstances and situations to evoke in us direction and choice.

      Episode #123 - Kingdom Reign

Karl Barth wrote that the kingdom of God is an actual assault on the world.  There is a sort of violence in this that we seldom recognize as God. The Lord bombards us in our suffering and at the same time is pursuing us.

Episode #124 - The Author of Our Story

Behind all struggle and suffering is a story of God's glory for the end.  The journey is a great adventure, full of challenge and hilarity. John and Martha remember God's sense of humor in their stories!

Episode #125 - The Judgment of God

To accept the mystery of God's sovereignty over all is to accept our own story.  When time and again, we refuse His mastery, He will deal in judgment even with believers, but chastening is intended to reveal to us His mercy and sovereignty.

      Episode #126 – Resurrection

A true life that exists and has meaning is only in Christ, Who is the Light at the core of all creation. Our real existence is in Christ only, we are merely His vessel - if we are willing to 'be nothing' and for the Lord to be everything.

      Episode #127 – Existence

The believer is in union with existence, which is only Jesus.  Humility is to know so finally that you are nothing, that Christ is the only real life.  Worship in the New Testament is to allow Christ to come forth in your body.  Your joy and boast is then in His existence.

Episode #128 - Freedom to BE

Pride is thinking I can 'know' in myself.  Freedom is saying I am nothing without God.  Everything exists to be filled in Christ.  We are not to tell Him, God is to tell us . . . everything.

      Episode #129 - 'eLumination (John's Blog)

The Lord is calling John to publish on the website, some of his revelation.  From his hidden service in the ministry, God has given John some very specific Light. John shares the impact from the song, "Be Thou My Vision," and the life of the author of that old hymn.   You can read John's writing on Shulamite.com at 'eLumination.'

      Episode #130 - Practical Living

During our recent conference in Atlanta we recorded a podcast live before the attendees.  This was really fun for us.  In this episode Martha and John discuss the practicality of every life and how the spirituality is not hindered by practical life but actually worked out as an intricate part of expressing the Life of Christ.

       Episode #131 - Jesus' Practicality

Jesus' Practicality: Martha and John record the podcast at the recent conference, "The Coming One."  Martha relates experiencing  Christ's joy in being a servant.  Several attendees share their own stories of the Lord's serving presence in everyday life.

Episode #132 - The Story of John Coming to Shulamite

The Story of John Coming to Shulamite. John was called to be a missionary, considering a number of fields: Guatemala, Russia.  But those doors closed and he joined our group to spend 2 years in solitude with the Lord. When he came out of that time it was to be a missionary with us and to build the ministry that is now Shulamite Ministries.

      Episode #133 - John's Story

John's Story.  In a rare time of sharing his private life, John and Martha tell the story of their partnership in the world outreach of Shulamite Ministries, how the Lord providentially prepared John even from childhood.

Episode #134 - The Glory of God

John and Martha recount real experiences of God's glory falling at different times, in various manifestations.  The glory of God comes on His terms and solely in His choice of timing.  It cannot be controlled or orchestrated.

      Episode #135 - Glory Withdrawn

God will share His glory with no one but He will remove His glory where He is not received. This   happened with the First Temple of Israel.  It's possible for the glory of God to come   upon a people who despise that Presence.   God allows the rejection and opposition of people who want the glory only for themselves.

      Episode #136 - Future Glory

Knowing the glory of God is a real experience that cannot be orchestrated but is often faked. The glory is God revealing Himself so that we will know His majesty and power.  When the glory is manifested there is a deep sense of awe in knowing His holiness.

Episode #137 - Baptism of New Believers

To be born again from above is to be given a new nature, another being.  The essence of this new life is love.  What has entered you in the new birth, is He who is Love.  I Cor. 13 is a picture of Christ and the description of His love. Baptism in water is a public testimony of a new life in Christ and the letting go of the old life.

      Episode #138 - Salvation Glory

Jennifer Wentzel tells the story of her journey to Christ's Lordship in all honesty and reality.  In her typical delightful fashion she rejoices in His capture of her and His very real presence with her now . . . and forever!

Episode #139 - Salvation of LOVE

Holly Barnette is the daughter of Don and Carole Nelson. This is her honest testimony of a desperate need for God's Love.  By finding God's great love for her, Holly testifies of her new creation and new love in Christ by the Holy Spirit!

Episode #140 - Our Forming Influences

Martha and John on the road in North Carolina discuss a predominant sin found in the human race, "bitterness with parents."  God, as Grand Author, sets us in our family for the purpose of forming us and if we resist His choice, we go down a path of bitterness that is not only devastating to us personally but to those around us.

Episode #141 - Your Sovereign Childhood

An offense with parents is really toward God.  The occasion that our native pride rises is when we judge and scorn parents as being superior to them.  God's purpose is always for His Son. You and I exist for Christ. To resist that is to be unable to overcome bitterness.  We live as though this Christianity is about 'us.'  It is all for, about, and unto the Son of God.

Episode #142 - New Testament Family

In New Testament order, there are two new commands about parents while retaining the Old Testament command of honor.  To His disciples, Christ promises division between child and parent. His claim on us as sons and daughters is higher than parental ownership.   Jesus brought us to the possibility of intimacy with God as our personal Father.  The cost of living that, however, is the call to leave parents.

      Episode #143 - Born Again - A New Heritage

There is a test when Christ brings His sword into a family.  Our acceptance and dealing with it is a work of the Spirit and our need is to follow Him in living it out.  You have inherited all that Christ is, do you live that? Or do you live still in your human heritage?  You are of Another Nature, indeed a New Family.

      Episode #144 - Generational Problems

Joseph carried the suffering of his family's sins in order to be the vessel of reconciliation to God.   Martha discusses her own assignment of this thru illness to illustrate the process of breaking generational sins by the Blood of Christ. To be continued . . .

Episode #145 - Independence of God

God wants us entirely free so that we have no bondage.  Inherited sin is unconfessed sin of ancestors so that the sin remains operative and unforgiven.  It is not God's fault.  The greatest thing we can do for we own children is repent of sin . . . sin being independence of God.

Episode #146 - Redemption of Christ

We who are born again in Christ have been purchased by the precious Blood in a perfect redemption, and includes the finished work of setting us free from the 'fruitless living' and 'traditions of forefathers.'

Episode #147 - Word from the Sponsor

A discussion of the Shulamite group emerged spontaneously after their early morning prayer.  Martha shares her vision and the Lord's direction for the conference in two weeks.  Experiencing Christ's life and the love that is His pursuit, the group is being deeply prepared together as a small unit of transcendent life. Indeed we are living the message before the message.

Episode #148 - Morning at His Feet

The Holy Spirit moved in our prayer meeting with His passion and travailing for God's people to be prepared as the Bride of Christ.  For this conference, the Lord wants to impart a vision of transcendence in terrible times.  In a new dimension this Shulamite group is released to declare Christ as Lord in real living.

Episode #149 - Bearing Fruit from the Vine

The Lord took Martha and others aside for a few days of rest and revelation.   God wants the Blood of Christ and His life flowing through us.  There is a process and suffering to come to the freedom of Christ. Carole sees we will reap the inheritance we have chosen.

Episode #150 - Joseph and the Law of Generations

John sees that bearing the inherited family problem is a responsibility and privilege. It is to be a Joseph. The purpose is to put an end to that inherited sin forever and ever, so that God's manifestation of Himself is no longer hindered.  Joseph suffered deeply for this. He went from victimization to victory, from a problem to a calling for the liberty of others.

Episode #151 - Faith is Past

There is no such thing as progression, there is only discovery of what Christ has 'finished.'  That is faith.  We are completely redeemed from what we inherited from our human heritage. The Perfect Sacrifice bought us from our forefathers.  It is simply to discover what has been accomplished on the cross.

Episode #152 - The Covenant Promise

The rainbow has always been for Carole a sign of God's covenant of promise.  The new covenant of Christ's heritage for us is that God does everything.  Our Father will achieve all and we are only to say yes, to receive.  As a child of God, we have inherited all spiritual blessings in Christ.  That is the beautiful promise!

Episode #153 - The Old & New Man

During our October conference, "The Body of Christ," Martha used visual aids to enhance the messages she delivered.  Both skits greatly impacted the viewers as they provided greater depth in understanding the truth in each message.  The first skit, discussed in this podcast, had Martha present the old man as a garment that can simply be removed like a dirty piece of clothing.  This truth in the Word is a reality that few have personally experienced, and the consequence ofthis lack is death.

Episode #154 - Invitation to the Feast

For the conference in October the Shulamites put on a skit to depict the parable of the wedding feast in Matthew 22.   The objective was to visually present the reality of Christ's invitation to all but most refuse to attend.   In this episode, Sue is a servant, Ed plays a street cleaner and Julie wanted to play a fallen woman.  But no one anticipated the power of the Holy Spirit's presence.

Episode #155 - The Wedding Feast

From Jesus' parable of the wedding feast in Matthew 22, the Shulamites performed a play for the recent conference. The parable is easily interpreted. It is the Wedding of the Lamb of God.  Carole played the role of the one who comes into the feast, not robed in Christ but having preferred her 'garment' of the Old-Self.  We were astonished at how powerfully the Holy Spirit took over the play and made it a very gripping and poignant experience for all.

Episode #156 - The Wedding Garment

While Don read aloud the parable of Matthew 22, the Shulamites presented it as a play for the Conference in October, "the Body of Christ." In the CD series for that meeting, #7 is Carole's account of the Holy Spirit's travail in her for her part as the one cast out. Later - after the conference - we began to learn how each player was impacted by the Holy Spirit and the wonder of the heartfelt experience it became for everyone.

Episode #157 - Seeing the Wedding Feast

For the "Body of Christ Conference" the Shulamites performed a skit of the Wedding Feast.  Experiencing the acting out of the story in Matthew 22, it all became more real and living to the players and also to those who watched.  This podcast is our hope of bringing the skit to our listeners for a visual account of the play and for bringing you into this very special conference.

Reflection:  The Body of Christ Conference was one of the clearest messages Martha has delivered about "Body Life" and the "Old & New Man."  Post conference we gathered together to reflect on the message.

Episode #159 - Word of Great Consequence
The word from the conference is that God is truly God.   John sees he believed in the old man, even as the New Creation was evident in his work and life.  The Old Man is irrelevant if you have fully seen the entire failure of the old life and believed in the New Man.  This one simple faith in what Christ has accomplished individually for each person is great freedom.

Episode #160 - God is the Only Power
The Old Man talks, endlessly talks. . . so full of our own agenda that in the 'old' we cannot hear.  The skit was to expose the thoughts of the flesh, the frustration of trying and not being able to do right.  The Old Man also opposes God as God and cannot do otherwise.  The New Man loves that God is truly God.

Episode #161 - God is God
Focus on God, to look toward Christ and away from 'me' is everyone's battle. Who do you enthrone?  The question in calamity is always: Is God God?  The call of the conference was to Look Up.  The end of this series is our declaration of SHALOM to all -  which means:  "displacing the authority that creates chaos."

Episode #162 - New Nature, New Creation
We Shulamites continue to be in wonder over the new creation. The picture of it is hidden and revealed throughout all scripture. In this podcast we reflect on Jesus' first miracle - creating new wine out of simple water. And this is the picture of the 'New Man.'

Episode #163 - Listen and Say Yes
The Lord sets out to expose our old nature.   Jacob is the picture of the 'old man' who thinks, in his human delusion, that he can fix himself but he can only do so by theft and deceit.  Yet even this is a valid process of discovering and discarding our 'old nature.'

Episode #164 - Tapestry of The New
To be fully in your 'new man' you first find that you are nothing in the 'old'.   The New Creation manifests and represents Christ.  We need each other to be in Christ so that we can see Him in fullness. We are 'individually' members of the Body of Christ.  The group looks at both sides of the old   man: effort or rebellion.

      Episode #165 - Heavenly People
By its very nature, the New Creation is heavenly minded. Paul illustrates this by saying 'we look at the unseen.'  This New Creation has an entirely individual identity, every member of the Body of Christ, a unique expression of God.  By contrast, the old nature is the same in all humanity.  We can only imitate when we have no 'self.'

Episode #166 - Communion of the Church
Coming together to share the celebration of Christ's sacrifice is a serious matter with ultimate consequences.  We at Shulamite Ministries share a Body life of transparent repentance as we come to the communion table.  We open this recent meeting to our listeners in the hope that the Blood of Christ may be fully powerful in your lives.

      Episode #167 - Grace in Christ's Blood
The Shulamite prayer meeting continues as we realize fully that "Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin."  The Blood of Christ was shed not only for complete forgiveness of sin but also for the cleansing of our conscience so that we can live in freedom from guilt.

Episode #168 - Only The Blood of Christ
The Blood is the end of guilt, not just sin.  The Holy Spirit  is present where the Blood is received and it is He who imparts the Life of Christ as we believe in the power of the Blood.  I can have nothing of Christ apart from the Blood. The fellowship of believers is kept alive by partaking of the Blood of Christ.

Episode #169 - Nothing But The Blood
NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD: Self effort will ever cause you to be a liar. The real transformation into Christ -likeness comes from the Blood and the Life of Jesus.  If you are cleansed from sin you are a different person.
Our neverending journey is to discover and receive what Christ has given freely for all human need.   The humility to receive the Blood causes you to love Him ore and more.  The Blood cleanses the heart, even to depths of our evil conscience.

Episode #170 - The Living Blood
Eternal life is in the blood but it is Christ's Life infused within you.  But Jesus cannot be separated from the blood as though the Blood is a thing, a gift, separate from Him.  The Blood must be personal and experiential connection to Christ before it  has power for us and against the enemy.  The Blood is His very Self.

Episode #171 - The Blood is Him
The Blood of Christ is the final answer to sin, but it is possible to just confess sin without 'drinking' Christ's Blood.  We can also deal with the Blood without a personal and inward connection to Him.  Christ Jesus is Himself the Food He offers and it is eternal.

Episode #172 - The Experience of the Blood
In these times, the Holy Spirit is giving a living experience of the Blood to the Body of Christ.  To be washed with the Blood is a real and actual gift we access from repentance. The result is that we grow more in love with Jesus!  Let us celebrate His resurrection on this Easter Sunday.

Episode #173 - Christ, the Sabbath
Christ, the Sabbath:  Christ is the performance of His own demands. There is only  One Who could do what He required.  The Blood of Christ is our forgiveness and the Flesh of Christ is our gift of His very nature to live transformed.  He took our brokenness and gave us His wholeness.  The Sabbath is a Person - Christ Jesus, our rest.

      Episode #174 - Remembering Christ's Foundation
Life is the issue of all encounters and of all truth.   Jennifer shares from her own journey.  "Without His Life animating and His will giving Life to the truth, it is dead."  Julie also has experienced the words without the life.  The Blood of Christ is basic. Jesus wants it to be remembered and revealed again because it IS basic. John said that the enemy works against the Blood of Christ because it is so crucial as a foundation.

Episode #175 - The Wonderful Mystery
In this Laodicean age we, even in the church, think we can know all things and by knowledge have "need of nothing."  Knowledge  - without the Spirit - will blind us and leave us naked.  We don't begin to know God until we see that He is beyond knowing.

Episode #176 - The Living Reality
Oswald Chambers wrote this: "Trouble always arises when men will not revise their views of God."
God will bring us into experiences of His truth as living reality, a further unveiling of Himself.  Yet He will always be beyond us!

Episode #177 - To Know God and the Name of His Son
That is worth any cost. (from Prov. 30:4 Amp) Everything fits into some enormous purpose of God, even suffering.  If we will be empty vessels for Christ's own suffering, we will experience knowing His very nature and name.

Episode #178 - If You Know His Name
We  humans will not 'not know'...   In the delusion that we 'know' His name, we think  He must bow to our beliefs    Even His own sure promise comes on His terms, in His Since I belong to God  I am in complete safety.  The restoration of believers must be the revelation that we are bought with a price. We are truly not our own.  Few- even among believers -  will live owned and bought and indwelt.  Our future safety lies in this belonging. time.  We cannot control God.   We are called to ask and keep on asking. . .

Episode #179 - Christ, Our Inward Life
The Lord bears everything, even our suffering.   We come under the yoke of His leadership and Christ is what God requires of us. Above all, God  - the Unsearchable - wants to be known by living within you, through you and even . . .  FOR you.  You know Him unendingly from the experience of His Life in the intimacy of His indwelling.

Episode #180 - Belonging to God
Since I belong to God  I am in complete safety.  The restoration of believers must be the revelation that we are bought with a price. We are truly not our own.  Few- even among believers -  will live owned and bought and indwelt.  Our future safety lies in this belonging.

Episode #181 - Owning Nothing is Having All
To belong is to be a sheep placed where the Shepherd chooses. To be owned by Christ  is to be a child owning nothing and having everything.  We are His but there is still the necessity of choosing to be chosen.

Episode #182 - My Shepherd is the Lord
All our needs belong to Christ because we belong to Him.  Not only does He give everything, I have all I need, all the time.  Under all and any circumstances, "my Shepherd is the Lord, I have everything I need."

Episode #183 - Your God Written Story
The sovereignty of God reaches over all of history.  The scripture reveals God's absolute reign over governments down to each small individual life.  The hard work is to accept His choice of the story.  The acceptance of my own story  opens my heart to see the mystery of Christ's purpose revealed.

Episode #184 - Authority IN the Blood
The cleansing Blood of Christ prepares us to be filled ever more fully with the Holy Spirit.  The Blood is not a  magic word that fights evil.  The Blood is a power, real and living, effectual only when we "drink His blood and eat His flesh."  When the Blood of Christ is living within you, it becomes an authority that defeats the enemy.

      Episode #185 - True Freedom
'ALL have fallen short of the glory of God.'  That makes us all equal in terms of failing.   We are all broken by life and by our own sin.    True freedom comes from forgiveness through the Blood of Christ and by knowing the Sovereignty of God.

Episode #186 - The Puzzle of Every Life
Every person is assigned an adventure, hidden in a specific set of circumstances.   The essence of life is not about achievements or acquisitions.  Life is about finding Wisdom.  Wisdom is the treasure to be discovered, the mystery of His sovereign purpose in my own story. To know God personally in His sovereignty yields peace and stillness of soul.

Episode #187 - "The Last Hour"
"The Last Hour"   John and Martha announce a conference September 24th through the 26th in Atlanta.  Those of us at Shulamite Ministries are excited that the Lord has called for this meeting.  With great anticipation, we are preparing for the event and praying for Christ's direction, His vision and purpose for it.  So, join us in September!  For information see the website: Shulamite.com.

Episode #188 - The Fully Engaged Heart (Part 1)
The Lord gave Carole a vivid insight into the nature of the disciple Peter and how Jesus viewed him. Peter was a man fully engaged in his heart, with unrestrained passion for Jesus.   He could be sifted BECAUSE not IN SPITE OF himself.  "I am to abandon my heart with no reserve. Right or wrong is not a problem for Jesus.  He is troubled only by our lukewarmness."

Episode #189 - The Fully Engaged Heart (Part 2)
Carole comments that Job was a man fully engaged.  The friends of Job dealt with 'truth' but not in heart relationship with God.   Martha says you cannot be in a real relationship with Christ unless your heart is fully open to be pierced, broken, hurt.  Christ wants our passion to belong to Him.

Episode #190 - Quiet in the Land
Quietness is a way of life. The world currently is in a literal assault of noise 'pollution'  for the express purpose of destroying peace.  Mankind does not have an "ambition to live a quiet life" as is commanded in 1 Thess. 4:11.   We are called to pray for those in authority for this purpose:  that we may "live a tranquil and quiet life."

Episode #191 - The Quiet Life - continued
"Make it your ambition to live a quiet life."  Quiet is not idle nor the absence of responsibility.  Quiet is the space and peace to produce our calling.

      Episode #192 - A Life of Peace
Living for God's will alone is a place of simplicity and that means peace with God.  Christ doesn't give us peace as an aspect, He gives us His own life which is full of peace.  Forgiveness of sin is the peace that comes from the Blood of Christ.

      Episode #193 - A New Quiet
In Ps. 131 David describes the subduing of his soul. The soul is the source of fretting and the spirit is the place of quiet. The work of the Spirit is to bring us to humility, weaning the soul (or flesh) away from ruling our mind and life. Peace and quiet come from living in and from the spirit.

      Episode #194 - Full Commitment
We watched documentaries about the intense training of the military elite forces.  The tests were not physical only but trials that revealed the inner commitment.  This spoke to us as a picture of the central issue in the Christian life - absolute commitment to Christ.

      Episode #195 - Military Awareness
Resolve is the inner strength to keep going when the 'going gets tough.' Endurance in spiritual warfare is determined by the degree of abandonment to Christ.  John sees that failure is inevitable and part of the process.  Martha is engaged in prayer and care for the  military forces and issues a call to the Church.

      Episode #196 - Heart of a Warrior
Our Body of Christ has a military mindset. Paul saw his walk as the life of a soldier. Gideon's army was reduced from thousands to 300.  Only those who had no fear and no home ties were allowed to enter the battle.  The test of the army was commitment not ability.
Spiritual warfare will be a vital topic for the coming conference -  "The Last Hour."

Episode #197 - The Everlasting Love of God
The Word 'everlasting" from Jeremiah 31:3 means a love so beyond our comprehension: spaceless, timeless, outside our realm. And He brings His love down into our lives so that we can experience it. Jesus calls us to abide in God's love.

Episode #198 - The Loving Trinity
Our basic need for relationship is fulfilled in the Trinity. The great Fatherhood of God supplies all nurture, discipline and correction to His children.  Father, Son and Holy Spirit are One in nature, character and unity.

Episode #199 - The Greatness of God
God is so vast that He exceeds every idea we have of Him.  The Holy Spirit is the Father's gift, the full provision to reveal Christ to us individually. And we are warned not to quench the Spirit because of His gentleness.

Episode #200 - "Quench Not The Spirit"
We humans generally believe correction is the absence of Love.  The Holy Spirit moves to discipline us and we can quench Him by refusing to be corrected.  The Lord brings us into an arena of safety in Body Life, so that we can bear being exposed in the Light of the Lord.

Episode #201 - The Authority of God
William Barclay said:  "The duty of the teacher is not to impose beliefs on other people, but to enable and to encourage them to attain to and to think out their own beliefs.  The aim is not the extinction of, but the development of the individual personality, not to produce a pale copy of oneself, but to create an independent human being."
In this podcast the Shulamite group discusses our recent insight about the child's need for its existence to be affirmed by being seen. Usually that is given by the mother.  Jacquelyn sees that to be under authority and in the Body of Christ is the place where God helps us become what we are in the new creation.

Episode #202 - The Power of Gaze
The believer's gaze at God brings His eyes into the world for the need of the wounded to be seem.  Seeing each other with the eyes of God is a healing connection and brings transformation.  We make the Christian life about "doing and saying" but the power comes from beholding the Lord.

      Episode #203 - God's Watching
Satan's intention is to delude us that God doesn't see us so then the fear of the Lord is gone.  Yet it's a terrific human need to know that God is aware of each of us and watching over in His love.

      Episode #204 - The Heart's Decision
The Shulamite group discusses the new booklet "Decision" and how it impacted us individually. Jacquelyn makes the point that our decisions get us through every day.  This life is not about works and performance, it's about exercising the will.

Episode #205 - The Healing Touch
Martha shares about her recent healing at the end of the September Conference. "The Lord is like the River and the Wind and we are to rest in the power of His flow and His move."  The Living Word of "LET' that came to Martha in Spain is still expanding.

Episode #206 - The Lion and the Bear
Martha and John discuss David's faith to conquer Goliath, because of his crises in the fields.  Faith rises from suffering and seeing God's intimate involvement in our problems. The Lord is so beyond our rigid ideas of Him and always has a purpose and process higher than we can imagine.

      Episode #207 - Resurrection Life
God's intimate and infinite care for us works through the Body of Christ.   With joy the Shulamite group cared for Martha during her illness.  The Word of God to John for Martha's healing was  2 Cor. 4:17 "Our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory."

Episode #208 - The Problem of Fear
Current events in the world are frightening -  undermining any security we think we have.  Our solution in this day is faith, and  faith is simply believing Christ.  Fear is belief in Satan.  Our battle is with ourselves to access Faith.  Carole came out of fear when she praised God.  Even when you are in unbelief and terror, you can WILL to obey Him with praise.  And that is FAITH!

Episode #209 - God's Victory Over Our Fear
Carole sees that, "The very area of Satan's attack is the place of God's disapproval....so that God can prove Himself to me in that area."  Then God will produce His permanent victory.   John: "The only power concerning us is where we put faith, whether in Satan or God."

      Episode #210 - I AM is God's Name
I AM is God's Name, this means He is the Only and the ALL.  The word I AM means I EXIST. Through knowing His name, we want to possess an absolute Faith that does not tolerate fear about any situation. Isa. 33:6 He is the stability in our times.

    Brief Description

If you missed out on our fifth year (2011) of podcasts, this collection is your chance to catch up!

This year included a journey to and through Alaska and great rejoicing by the whole ministry as The Secret to Answered Prayer was published, a feat that was in itself an answer to prayer!

The fifth year of Shulamite Podcasts began with new insight into Christ as Bridegroom and the meaning of Sonship - living as a dependent child.  Sabbath rest brought God's view of work in refreshing liberty.  A high point was a lively dialogue: seeing God's standard of holiness.

And central to every issue, the answer to every question and
the solution to every problem is the indwelling life of Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful year it was and what a magnificent God we serve!

Episode #211 - Christ as Husband:

A friend sees Christ introduce Himself as Husband in the book of John.  'Husband' is the  Source, Protector, Supplier and Christ came as Husband to all who will receive Him. The Bridegroom is the Husband-Source.

Episode #212 - Christ the Bridegroom:

No human can possibly fill our great need for the Lord AS Bridegroom.  Christ's indwelling sustenance is like a well within us, a spring always flowing. We are not a 'source' for anyone's need, rather we are vessels of His care.

Episode #213 - Christ and the Bride:

Carole learned about the Ketubah, the Jewish marriage contract, which is the one sided pledge of the groom.  "The bride is not required to sign because she receives the groom's commitment."   The mystery of Eph. 5 is the picture of Christ and the Church.  The wife's submission is to receive the husband's care and provision not to his dominance or tyranny.  The picture is the absolute commitment of Christ to the preparation of His Bride.

Episode #214 - Sir, Give Me this Water:

"Sir, Give Me this Water" John 4.  All are invited to drink freely.  The only requirement is to come with your thirst.  John sees the correlation to Ezek. 14:4 that the Lord will capture the heart through our idolatry.  Our idols represent our thirst.  Hunger is always for God no matter what the focus.

Episode #215 - Strength, the Original Sin:

This is "I will meet my own needs."  We compete with God to BE god.   Jacob's story is the picture of the whole human process, which is coming to the end of human strength.  We need, in the days to come, to lean utterly on the Lord. Carole sees that God's pursuit of us in chastening and demolishing our strongholds is His desire for intimacy.

Episode #216 - Dependence and Faith:

The Body of Christ is being reduced in strength and cleansed of fear.  Strength is independence and fear is unbelief.  These are common human problems that separate us from God.  In the days to come our safety is being utterly dependent on God and overcoming by faith.

Episode #217 - Power to Live:

The effects of fear and anxiety are damaging to the body.  The Lord wants to give light on our deepest fears and it is a matter for prayer and confession. But the only total solution is to 'reckon ourselves dead to sin.'  We were buried with Christ and our 'old man' who is ever and always afraid, is no more.  Only in he new creation can we live free of fear!

Episode #218 - Father not Taskmaster:

We belong to God as His children with all the privileges  and security of His Fatherhood. John sees that humanity - like Moses and Israel - is conscious only of slavery and so we come as slaves to God rather than sons and daughters to a Great and Glorious Father.

      Episode #219 - Abba Father:

Jesus' focus on and love for the Father is beyond anything that can be described or imagined.  The Son of God lived in single consciousness of His beloved Father.  Jesus' ultimate purpose was to reveal the true nature of His Father and to bring us to Him as 'sons.'  The Holy Spirit will lead us into that sonship and then will cry from within us, "Abba Father."  Unless there is surrender to the Spirit there is no experience of being a child of the Father.

Episode #220 - Abba and Father:

The Holy Spirit cries within us, "Abba! Father!"  Romans 8:15 The process of coming to the Father is being continually led by the Spirit.   To know the Father as your Abba is an indescribable place to be.  He is completely perfect and splendid.  His tender care is an overwhelming provision and specific knowledge the needs of each one of us.

Episode #221 - Children of the Kingdom:

Coming to sonship with God is only through the door of great all inclusive need. The Cross takes your sources and strengths so that you are reduced to the humility of need.  Entrance to the Kingdom is not as a 'king' but as a child of the King! And that is a huge difference.  The Holy Spirit leads you to this sonship, it is not something you can do.

Episode #222 - Sonship by the Spirit:

The way to Fatherhood is by following the Spirit through obedience to His promptings.  Those who allow the Spirit to rule their lives will experience the bliss of intimacy with the Father.   All relationship is through the will of God.  Obedience comes out of love and love is commitment more than feelings.

Episode #223 - Called to the Cross:

We need the bliss of knowing God as Abba Father. That joy and bliss come by following the Spirit's leading to the Cross.  Paul said he would not glory in anything save the Cross!  It is our liberty and entrance into God's presence.

Episode #224 - Healing by the Cross:

Martha tells of three healings of cancer which came through a specific word from the Lord.  In two cases the cross brought repentance and liberty. In one person (who lives by the cross), the Lord brought healing and blessing.

Episode #225 - The Cross is Letting Go:

Austin Sparks had the insight that independence of God and His authority is the 'cancer' of humanity. Any separation of relationship is when one or both have left God's dominion and become cancerous.  We don't understand that independence is death.  Death will conquer us all unless we conquer death by dying first. Dying is relinquishment. Letting go of control.

       Episode #226 - The Lord's Radical Will:

God's will is costly, often shocking and takes you to a cliff of your own demise.  His will costs you yourself and the favor of people.  Just the worship of Christ evokes criticism. Everything that issues from the worship of God and the will of God is a scandal to the world.

Episode #227 - Strange Fire of Our Presumption:

The revelation of God's enormous love is such that He will not allow us to go our own way in peace. Jennifer shares her testimony of the fierceness of God's love in His wrath and in His consequences. She said, "The real transformation is miraculous and cannot be charted." To see Him as truly God is to love Him.

Episode #228 - At His Feet: At His Feet:

God's wrath comes and attacks the flesh but behind it is His purpose for the saving of your life.   God's wrath is very pure flame and it is Love to show us that our one responsibility is to choose Him.  The purpose of seeing Him is to know that you ARE nothing.  Jennifer says, "I hope I have seen just a part of His foot."

       Episode #229 - A Long Journey:

The Lord is dealing with human strength that is self sufficiency.  There is only one thing that is needed from us: to RECEIVE.  God has given everything as a gift, not to be earned in any measure.  What God wants through all the discipline of the Cross is to make us capable of simple receiving as a child.  He empties us so that we will receive.

       Episode #230 - The Long Journey – 2:

John said, "God works to expose our need so He might meet it, not to shame us." We see our poverty as shameful but God treasures the need and it belongs to Him. The real need is for the Lord, for Christ Himself. In Him are all 'unsearchable riches.'

Episode #231 - Empty Vessel, Filled:

It is Christ we receive, not some "things."  To bear fruit is to RECEIVE the seed of the Word which IS Christ.  (Mt. 13)   This podcast is about receiving the Lord as the Blood and the Word.  In being empty, we will be able to access the fullness of Christ.

       Episode #232 - Simple Receiving:

We make everything into a work and an effort.  We believe receiving is difficult. To receive is simply to turn and look to the Lord.  "D from Michigan" (who wrote a comment to Podcast  #229) shared an experience of the simplicity of just gazing toward the Lord.  This Christian life must be easy because we are designed to be dependent.

Episode #233 - Receiving the Greatness of God:

Only a child can believe such fantastic truths as are promised in scripture.  What would a people be who could receive what we have been given?   John sees that God's plan for Hannah's motherhood far exceeded her immediate desire. Her son would become the great prophet Samuel. Even so, we in our small reality can't imagine God's great plans at work for and in us.

Episode #234 - Seeing the Expanse:

In all His great expansive purpose, God has everything in a plan and a natural order but to our eye this life is a chaotic mess.  John sees that in that chaos is the beauty of God.  Julie said, "The whole plan is so Self-existent that it is simply for us to turn our face to the sun.''

Episode #235 - The Law of the Spirit:

We don't understand fully that Christ fulfilled the Law to God's complete satisfaction. And more, we died to the Law with Christ.  The freedom He gave us is that He will fulfill God's standard Himself, as we follow the Spirit.   Continued . . .

Episode #236 - His Burden is Light:

Christ calls to those who are under the burden of man made and self written law to come to Him for relief from the inevitable failure to fulfill those laws and the weariness of trying.  He relieves us - as God's children - of every burden and carries the weight of our responsibility.

Episode #237 - The One Law:

There is only one law in the New Covenant.  "The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus."  We respond to legalism with legalism.  We believe in idealism and perfectionism, but God works with us in our human condition in all realism. We have been set free from the law. We are not subject to the expectations and obligations of other nor of ourselves. The moment you go to the law you go to flesh and leave your spirit. Law and spirit are incompatible.

Episode #238 - The Booklet is Published!:

The Booklet is Published! Martha, John and Julie discuss the finish of the booklet "The Secret to Answered Prayer." The process of the birthing of this word has been long and intricate for all of the Shulamites, but John and Julie are confident and excited that it has been worth the wait.

Episode #239 - More Booklet News:

In this time of great confusion the new booklet brings into clear focus the place of Christ and the Holy Spirit in a life of prayer.  We take the need of life into a communion with the Lord and it becomes a great adventure, a marvel of knowing the Lord's mind and plan.

Episode #240 - Law Out, Grace In:

When you realize the futility of your own labor that's when you learn grace. All things are given from our Great Giving God and our joy as His children is simply to receive.

Episode #241 - The One Fear:

There is one fear permitted to the believer: the failure to enter the rest of God. (Hebrews 4:1) The rest is faith in the finished work of God.  God will commend us on what we received not on what we did. In our lives, God receives only what is of His Son.

Episode #242 - The Practical Work:

Our work is going to be examined and exposed when Christ returns.  The fire will appraise our work and there will be a reward for letting Jesus' practical life live through us.  We work on the foundation of Christ's life within the vessel.  There are just two things we need to do: ask and receive.

Episode #243 - The Order of the Lord:

The Order of the Lord: The Rest of the Lord is actually faith, not inertia or passivity.  Rest is the Lord's present and actual participation, down in the  common most mundane place of our lives.  We rest from human drudgery and Christ's power from within meets and accomplishes our responsibilities.  And that experience creates wonder and fresh delight in Him.

Episode #244 - The Vibrancy of God's Rest:

My rest, His work.  Jennifer is seeing and experiencing the dynamic work of the Lord.  Human performance and Divine energy are of two different races of humanity.   God wants to give and we are so difficult to give TO! The Prodigal son could receive blessings he did not deserve because he was reduced to need, the primary need being forgiveness.

       Episode #245 - Eternal Work:

The current CDs of the month continue and expand our subject of Work in the Lord.  When the Lord performs the practical tasks through us, it is eternal and everlasting.  We know Christ in His amazing humility when we let Him be the energy and strategy of the work assigned to us.  To know that your work is eternal is a great joy!

Episode #246 - The Humanity of Christ:

The first heresy that came into Christianity in the first century was known as "Gnosticism."   It was a satanic attack that denied the humanity of Christ and made Him to be a 'phantom.'  This is a most subtle lie that is prevalent today as much as then.  When we seek to remove the indwelling of Christ from our practical, physical life and depend on knowledge for our path to God, it can become the heresy of gnosticism.

       Episode #247 - The Carpenter:

The enemy knew that the most marvelous manifestation of Christ on earth is to allow Him to live in and through our human body.  Several books of the Epistles were written for the purpose of strong warning against the heresy of 'gnosticism' that was coming against the gospel of the Incarnation.  Romans 12:1  "present your body.'

Episode #248 - Work is about Relationship:

Don shares from his own life the discovery that work is not about work but about relationship with Christ.  "Work is all about His Son."  There is rich reward for all that we allow Christ to perform and the reward is Christ Himself!   Learning to work in the Lord and His will is a basic foundation for life.

Episode #249 - The Risk of Being:

"Get it done" is often our agenda about work, without regard to the Lord.  Work is to be a joyful dance with the Lord where the energy and vitality for the work actually comes from Christ.  We also set limitations on our thinking, ability and strength.  The energy of the Spirit infuses us with incredible capabilities which are beyond us.

Episode #250 - The Energy of the Spirit:

Let's put no limit on what God can do with and for each of us - spiritually, physically, mentally.  Greatness is not necessarily fame or notoriety, but living to the fullness of your own destiny.  "For that which is His plan, there is complete presence and provision."  All God asks for is faith to say yes to His vision.  And the entire motivation of anything we do is Love: for Him, from Him, to Him.

Episode #251 - The Work is Union:

Christ's life could not have been more down in the normalcy of life: born in a stable, working as a carpenter in a small village.  The basic work is seeking the Lord.  The first work (before any work) is to ask the questions of God and the second work is to bow the will to the answer.  Carole sees the work as Union! Christ in me, the hope of glory.

Episode #252 - The Work of Believing:

"The walk in the Spirit is more instinctive than deliberate."   We learn to trust the Lord as He moves in mystery through our lives.  Faith for such a life comes just from seeking Him.  We ask Him not so much for what to do, but what to believe.  And when the Word comes from Him, we receive the faith as a gift.

Episode #253 - The Work of Faith:

Faith is believing that Christ performs your work for you. We are called to this enormous work, given assignments of great things and then we are told not to do it but to BELIEVE Christ can and will, as the indwelling power for living.  We are to exert diligence to enter the rest that God in Christ has given to His own.

Episode #254 - The Power in Work is Love:

The basis of our accepting responsibility is having experienced the Love of God.  Knowing His Love and loving Him is our only motivation for working in His will.  So we come to weigh any problem as an issue of Love.  "Love is the basis of all true morality."

Episode #255 - The Last Days:

For us in these days, the Light of God's call and revelation are on this issue of personal responsibility.  God's way is 'through' not around and not escaping our basic work of life.  And we will never know God without living in the very life He has given us.   The paradox of our work is that when we take it up, then He is there to bear it all.

Episode #256 - Life is a Mission Journey:

The Lord said to Carole as she prayed, "Your life is a mission journey."  Perspective is seeing through God's eyes, from the place of His reign. Wherever I am I must see from God's view.

What IS the mission?  The mission is Love.  God is widening our view as a "panorama" (beyond our understanding) and "amplifying" our purpose, which is bringing Christ's love into every place we go.  Every believer is on a mission journey.

Episode #257 - The Mission is Love:

A journey is full of the unknown and that makes it exciting. We don't know what events will unfold on the pilgrimage nor the people we will discover.  As we  'go' in life on our wandering paths, the purpose is to love the Lord in all places and let His love capture us to be the vessel of that contagious Love.

Episode #258 - Time to Love:

John quoted Jesus that love is laying down your life for your friend.  Love is vulnerable and His radical unending sacrificial love is beyond our knowledge.  His Love is not affected by anything in us.  Yet Love gives you the freedom to reject His Love.

Episode #259 - Light is Love:

Love is all about the life, words are cheap. If there is real life present it is undeniable.

When as a Body we journey, every place is influenced by what He has formed in and among us in real life.  The journey is right through the Cross and only the Cross will bring you to the love of Christ at its highest and best.  No greater Love exists, than Christ in His dying on the cross for the world.

Episode #260 - Holy To The Lord:

The Holy Spirit has given us a fresh revelation of what has been a long term experience: God's Holiness.  Lev. 21:8  NLT   "I, the Lord, am holy and I make you holy."

Authority brings the cross and the cross is the path to holiness.  Jenn says that our walk is a progression of the call to His Holiness by the chastening that makes us able to receive His gift of the new creation.

Episode #261 - Called to Holiness:

Carole quotes from the article  'Four Faces of Christ' on our website.  "To know the Lord as Lion is to live in the safety of the fear of God."  We need to know Him to be as terrifying and holy as He is.  Julie sees that holiness is Sonship. Ephesians says we were created to BE holy.  To meet Him in His holiness results in the joy of knowing we are His children. John says, "God's calling to holiness is a statement of Who He is, but He is not asking us to perform it, He is asking us to receive it. His holiness is the dance that He is leading."

      Episode #262 - Holiness as a Child:

We are decreased in order to simply receive ALL from God as little children. Our adult efforts thwart Him.  Andrew Murray says,  "Holiness is the presence of God in rest." Christ Himself is the Sabbath, the rest that all is finished in Him and it is now only to believe.
