The complete third year of MP3 podcasts. 51 Episodes
By: Martha Kilpatrick/John Enslow
Brief Description
If you missed out on our third year (2009) of podcasts, this collection is your chance to catch up!
2009 was quite a year for Shulamite Ministries! With two conferences (The Coming One & The Body of Christ), a road trip through the Carolinas, two baptisms and the launch of John's blog, eLumination, the third year of Shulamite Podcasts was full indeed, recounting many a personal testimony of the victory of the life of Christ.Martha and John were joined by others in the Body as they delved deep into issues of inner healing and true Bridal preparation: overcoming the stronghold of rejection, gaining spiritual discernment in Christ, resolving bitterness with parents, and gleaning new insight into the Body of Christ through the parable of the Wedding Feast. May the Holy Spirit bring fresh revelation and blessing to all who would hear Him!

Episode #107 - Accepted in the Beloved
We try to earn the acceptance we desperately need and God has secured our acceptance in Christ. The root of bitterness is the rejection of God. Pride is the audacity to judge God for His choices. The blood and the name of Jesus destroys the stronghold of rejection.
Episode #108 - Rejection and Fear
John introduces new features on the Shulamite website. The podcast site (http://shulamitepodcast.com) is now found and hosted at Shulamite.com with new features and archives. Then Carole Nelson joins us with her testimony of God's solution to her lifetime of fear. As Carole sought the Lord In desperation, He began to reveal that she had built a stronghold of rejection of God. This powerful testimony continues next week . . .
Episode #109 - The Burden of Rejection Lifted
Carole Nelson's testimony continues. The Lord is breaking the lies of the stronghold of rejection and the roots of fear. Through the fellowship of the Body of Christ, the Holy Spirit is powerfully at work to break the bondage that keeps us from His love and mercy.
Episode #110 - The Body of Christ
The Lord Jesus as Head originates His church, forms it and purifies it. It is in Body Life, each one living in Him, that we are helped to reach our destiny. Carole delights in the fruit of her freedom -- faith and love.
Episode #111 - God Is Who God Is
John sees different aspects of the problem of rejection. "I have to hear God in order to have a relationship with Him." If we don't allow God to be who He is and say what He wants to say we are actually rejecting Him. God says "I AM" and that means in Hebrew: I will BE who I will BE.
Episode #112 - God is Other and Beyond
Rejection is a time bomb waiting to go off on everyone around you. If you have a relationship with your IDEA of God, you are not with God at all. If you don't hear His voice you don't live. The Lord says, "Let Me speak for Myself." The core of God's relationship with us is speaking. "Let him who has an ear, hear."
Episode #113 - The Real Voice
John and Martha continue with the issue of hearing the real God and not the voice of bitterness - "If it's not from God it's not God and if it is not God, it IS rejection of God." God's acceptance is complete in Christ but rejection is a prison of 'beliefs' and unbelief that renders you deaf.
Episode #114 - To Whom Have I Said Yes?
"TO WHOM HAVE I SAID YES?" Martha tells of God's calling to a vast and new YES to Him. "I don't belong to my self, not even to my suffering. The Lord was capturing me to something bigger than me, bigger than mankind. YES, to this: that He is God, God, God. Existence, it's about saying YES to His YES." Here am I, send me.
Episode #115 - I Am God's Yes
I AM GOD'S YES John sees the yes and wrote, "Every fiber of my being is YES because I was created by the YES of God. I am His Yes." Christ is God's ultimate YES to humanity. Yes you can have even my Son. Our yes to God's YES brings in God's glory. If we could really comprehend the great YES of God in Christ, it would be entire faith.
Episode #116 - Fear Conquered
Jennifer Wentzel (who works with us) responds to Carole's testimony of victory over fear. Fear, she realized, is an accusation of God. "To have that revealed to me was devastating. It is to believe I have the right to my fear and to being comforted for it!" Her freedom from fear came from repentance, asking forgiveness of God. Then came enormous peace on the other side.
Episode #117 - The Way to Live
Jennifer Wentzel finishes her insight about fear: "Fear is a trap of your own making. We excuse fear as just being human. Fear is violent and violating - against God first." Then Martha encourages Jennifer that she is living in "The Way" by asking the Lord, waiting, listening, searching the scriptures. Then to write down what He has shared in the secret place and it becomes food for the Body of Christ.
Episode #118 - God as God
A dear friend of the ministry had a burden to share us. She heard that the message delivered in Podcasts #111-113 was an important diagnosis to the problem with the church in the end times. Martha and John discuss the issue, further expounding on its relevance to this day. We must go to the true God as He reveals Himself and not as we suspect Him to be in our unworthy thoughts and judgments of Him.
Episode #119 - Delusion and Reality
Truth without the Person of Christ will be error. Delusion is the end result of dealing with scripture and life without a vital relationship with God. This relationship is the only safety from being deceived.
Episode #120 - Light and Darkness
From I John 2:20 Amplified Bible, we read of the anointing of the Holy Spirit for all we need to know and discern. Many voices and lies will come to us in these days of much delusion. But we are assured that we have the anointing for every knowledge we need. Christ is within, as the living Truth.
Episode #121 - Knowing The Times
It's very important to recognize the signs of the times in which we live. This is an exciting day yet deception is rampant. There is a false Christianity. Our need is always to go to the Person of Christ not merely facts about God. May He give us eyes and ears to see Him!
Episode #122 - It's Not What Goes In but Comes Out
It's Not What Goes In but Comes Out: As we look at our responses to life we see our choices. They are made evident everyday. But it is not what happens to us that define us but how we respond to what has happened. Martha and John discuss God's use of life’s circumstances and situations to evoke in us direction and choice.
Episode #123 - Kingdom Reign
Karl Barth wrote that the kingdom of God is an actual assault on the world. There is a sort of violence in this that we seldom recognize as God. The Lord bombards us in our suffering and at the same time is pursuing us.
Episode #124 - The Author of Our Story
Behind all struggle and suffering is a story of God's glory for the end. The journey is a great adventure, full of challenge and hilarity. John and Martha remember God's sense of humor in their stories!
Episode #125 - The Judgment of God
To accept the mystery of God's sovereignty over all is to accept our own story. When time and again, we refuse His mastery, He will deal in judgment even with believers, but chastening is intended to reveal to us His mercy and sovereignty.
Episode #126 – Resurrection
A true life that exists and has meaning is only in Christ, Who is the Light at the core of all creation. Our real existence is in Christ only, we are merely His vessel - if we are willing to 'be nothing' and for the Lord to be everything.
Episode #127 – Existence
The believer is in union with existence, which is only Jesus. Humility is to know so finally that you are nothing, that Christ is the only real life. Worship in the New Testament is to allow Christ to come forth in your body. Your joy and boast is then in His existence.
Episode #128 - Freedom to BE
Pride is thinking I can 'know' in myself. Freedom is saying I am nothing without God. Everything exists to be filled in Christ. We are not to tell Him, God is to tell us . . . everything.
Episode #129 - 'eLumination (John's Blog)
The Lord is calling John to publish on the website, some of his revelation. From his hidden service in the ministry, God has given John some very specific Light. John shares the impact from the song, "Be Thou My Vision," and the life of the author of that old hymn. You can read John's writing on Shulamite.com at 'eLumination.'
Episode #130 - Practical Living
During our recent conference in Atlanta we recorded a podcast live before the attendees. This was really fun for us. In this episode Martha and John discuss the practicality of every life and how the spirituality is not hindered by practical life but actually worked out as an intricate part of expressing the Life of Christ.
Episode #131 - Jesus' Practicality
Jesus' Practicality: Martha and John record the podcast at the recent conference, "The Coming One." Martha relates experiencing Christ's joy in being a servant. Several attendees share their own stories of the Lord's serving presence in everyday life.
Episode #132 - The Story of John Coming to Shulamite
The Story of John Coming to Shulamite. John was called to be a missionary, considering a number of fields: Guatemala, Russia. But those doors closed and he joined our group to spend 2 years in solitude with the Lord. When he came out of that time it was to be a missionary with us and to build the ministry that is now Shulamite Ministries.
Episode #133 - John's Story
John's Story. In a rare time of sharing his private life, John and Martha tell the story of their partnership in the world outreach of Shulamite Ministries, how the Lord providentially prepared John even from childhood.
Episode #134 - The Glory of God
John and Martha recount real experiences of God's glory falling at different times, in various manifestations. The glory of God comes on His terms and solely in His choice of timing. It cannot be controlled or orchestrated.
Episode #135 - Glory Withdrawn
God will share His glory with no one but He will remove His glory where He is not received. This happened with the First Temple of Israel. It's possible for the glory of God to come upon a people who despise that Presence. God allows the rejection and opposition of people who want the glory only for themselves.
Episode #136 - Future Glory
Knowing the glory of God is a real experience that cannot be orchestrated but is often faked. The glory is God revealing Himself so that we will know His majesty and power. When the glory is manifested there is a deep sense of awe in knowing His holiness.
Episode #137 - Baptism of New Believers
To be born again from above is to be given a new nature, another being. The essence of this new life is love. What has entered you in the new birth, is He who is Love. I Cor. 13 is a picture of Christ and the description of His love. Baptism in water is a public testimony of a new life in Christ and the letting go of the old life.
Episode #138 - Salvation Glory
Jennifer Wentzel tells the story of her journey to Christ's Lordship in all honesty and reality. In her typical delightful fashion she rejoices in His capture of her and His very real presence with her now . . . and forever!
Episode #139 - Salvation of LOVE
Holly Barnette is the daughter of Don and Carole Nelson. This is her honest testimony of a desperate need for God's Love. By finding God's great love for her, Holly testifies of her new creation and new love in Christ by the Holy Spirit!
Episode #140 - Our Forming Influences
Martha and John on the road in North Carolina discuss a predominant sin found in the human race, "bitterness with parents." God, as Grand Author, sets us in our family for the purpose of forming us and if we resist His choice, we go down a path of bitterness that is not only devastating to us personally but to those around us.
Episode #141 - Your Sovereign Childhood
An offense with parents is really toward God. The occasion that our native pride rises is when we judge and scorn parents as being superior to them. God's purpose is always for His Son. You and I exist for Christ. To resist that is to be unable to overcome bitterness. We live as though this Christianity is about 'us.' It is all for, about, and unto the Son of God.
Episode #142 - New Testament Family
In New Testament order, there are two new commands about parents while retaining the Old Testament command of honor. To His disciples, Christ promises division between child and parent. His claim on us as sons and daughters is higher than parental ownership. Jesus brought us to the possibility of intimacy with God as our personal Father. The cost of living that, however, is the call to leave parents.
Episode #143 - Born Again - A New Heritage
There is a test when Christ brings His sword into a family. Our acceptance and dealing with it is a work of the Spirit and our need is to follow Him in living it out. You have inherited all that Christ is, do you live that? Or do you live still in your human heritage? You are of Another Nature, indeed a New Family.
Episode #144 - Generational Problems
Joseph carried the suffering of his family's sins in order to be the vessel of reconciliation to God. Martha discusses her own assignment of this thru illness to illustrate the process of breaking generational sins by the Blood of Christ. To be continued . . .
Episode #145 - Independence of God
God wants us entirely free so that we have no bondage. Inherited sin is unconfessed sin of ancestors so that the sin remains operative and unforgiven. It is not God's fault. The greatest thing we can do for we own children is repent of sin . . . sin being independence of God.
Episode #146 - Redemption of Christ
We who are born again in Christ have been purchased by the precious Blood in a perfect redemption, and includes the finished work of setting us free from the 'fruitless living' and 'traditions of forefathers.'
Episode #147 - Word from the Sponsor
A discussion of the Shulamite group emerged spontaneously after their early morning prayer. Martha shares her vision and the Lord's direction for the conference in two weeks. Experiencing Christ's life and the love that is His pursuit, the group is being deeply prepared together as a small unit of transcendent life. Indeed we are living the message before the message.
Episode #148 - Morning at His Feet
The Holy Spirit moved in our prayer meeting with His passion and travailing for God's people to be prepared as the Bride of Christ. For this conference, the Lord wants to impart a vision of transcendence in terrible times. In a new dimension this Shulamite group is released to declare Christ as Lord in real living.
Episode #149 - Bearing Fruit from the Vine
The Lord took Martha and others aside for a few days of rest and revelation. God wants the Blood of Christ and His life flowing through us. There is a process and suffering to come to the freedom of Christ. Carole sees we will reap the inheritance we have chosen.
Episode #150 - Joseph and the Law of Generations
John sees that bearing the inherited family problem is a responsibility and privilege. It is to be a Joseph. The purpose is to put an end to that inherited sin forever and ever, so that God's manifestation of Himself is no longer hindered. Joseph suffered deeply for this. He went from victimization to victory, from a problem to a calling for the liberty of others.
Episode #151 - Faith is Past
There is no such thing as progression, there is only discovery of what Christ has 'finished.' That is faith. We are completely redeemed from what we inherited from our human heritage. The Perfect Sacrifice bought us from our forefathers. It is simply to discover what has been accomplished on the cross.
Episode #152 - The Covenant Promise
The rainbow has always been for Carole a sign of God's covenant of promise. The new covenant of Christ's heritage for us is that God does everything. Our Father will achieve all and we are only to say yes, to receive. As a child of God, we have inherited all spiritual blessings in Christ. That is the beautiful promise!
Episode #153 - The Old & New Man
During our October conference, "The Body of Christ," Martha used visual aids to enhance the messages she delivered. Both skits greatly impacted the viewers as they provided greater depth in understanding the truth in each message. The first skit, discussed in this podcast, had Martha present the old man as a garment that can simply be removed like a dirty piece of clothing. This truth in the Word is a reality that few have personally experienced, and the consequence ofthis lack is death.
Episode #154 - Invitation to the Feast
For the conference in October the Shulamites put on a skit to depict the parable of the wedding feast in Matthew 22. The objective was to visually present the reality of Christ's invitation to all but most refuse to attend. In this episode, Sue is a servant, Ed plays a street cleaner and Julie wanted to play a fallen woman. But no one anticipated the power of the Holy Spirit's presence.
Episode #155 - The Wedding Feast
From Jesus' parable of the wedding feast in Matthew 22, the Shulamites performed a play for the recent conference. The parable is easily interpreted. It is the Wedding of the Lamb of God. Carole played the role of the one who comes into the feast, not robed in Christ but having preferred her 'garment' of the Old-Self. We were astonished at how powerfully the Holy Spirit took over the play and made it a very gripping and poignant experience for all.
Episode #156 - The Wedding Garment
While Don read aloud the parable of Matthew 22, the Shulamites presented it as a play for the Conference in October, "the Body of Christ." In the CD series for that meeting, #7 is Carole's account of the Holy Spirit's travail in her for her part as the one cast out. Later - after the conference - we began to learn how each player was impacted by the Holy Spirit and the wonder of the heartfelt experience it became for everyone.
Episode #157 - Seeing the Wedding Feast
For the "Body of Christ Conference" the Shulamites performed a skit of the Wedding Feast. Experiencing the acting out of the story in Matthew 22, it all became more real and living to the players and also to those who watched. This podcast is our hope of bringing the skit to our listeners for a visual account of the play and for bringing you into this very special conference.
